Pippi - hang on in there. Just because they have said no to the phone/videoconferencing gig doesn't mean it's all over. They've the other candidates to interview yet, it may all go swimmingly and they find a suitable candidate.......or it may not........ Meanwhile, you've planted a 'future option' in their minds. The rest is up to them
Considering conference technology has been around for 25 years or more, we're pretty slow on it's everyday useage, and I don't think we 'think' how can this be done differently.
The focus is on tomorrow, and we all know that you'll present yourself in a good light. The rest is up to other people - out of your sphere of control and therefore it should be put out of mind.
Have a safe flight. I, and I am sure all of your readers, will be thinking of you tomorrow and cheering you on.... hope we don't make too much noise and upset the interview panel....... :rotfl:

<delurk>Yay to The Chellist getting in to her uni - AWESOME! Proud 'auntie' moment.
on the subject of interviews, I was offered a skype interview last year (head office in Brisbane and hiring manager in California ). *I* had to decline as the interwebs out here in the sticks (I'm only 10 miles from Milk n Beans but you'd think I was on Jupiter) is Dire and I coudn't guarantee a strong enough connection to be able to skype. I offered to go to their offices in Bedford so they could skype me there but *they* declined.I can't help wondering if it was a test.
Anywho, keep on keeping on and with any luck they'll realise they've missed a fantastic opportunity and ask you when you're down there the next week (mined ewe I would still bill them travelling expenses if they'll pay them, even if it is an expensed trip by your other work)
xx
