Pippi - luverly, as ever, to see you 'over at mine'. Just to re-iterate, if DS is swayed to buy the book of the luverly Ms J Monroe, please make sure that he follows the advice of mum2one and buys it from the book people, if he is buying more than a couple of copies..... (postage has to be taken into account) or that he looks to the other *optional price* outlets for the book, of which Sainsbugs and amazooon feature, although again, postage costs feature with the rainforested one.......... So if he's within walking distance of a mrS.............. :)

Mind you will he listen - I'll message him to tell him TRG has a sainsbugs v close and DS COULD if he wanted save the postage by asking TRG for a favour.

So Pips - what exactly did you make with said beetroot & bluecheese?

The OH is enamoured of the red root, but I'm not so sure what the fuss is about! Any advice would be much appreciated!

  • I had st Agur (reduced) and beets sliced
Up and tumbled together. The creamy piquant (sorry piq) cheese and the sweet
    Earthy beet are Yummy mixed.

    Add
    Bread and enjoy.

    Ps horseradish as
    A
    Wee
Side is lovey but prob not necessary
    As
    The cheese is quite tangy.

If serving with a roast - beet
And a slathering of horseradish is awesome
    Too.

    Hope
U like wok doesn't like beets either.

2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Aw thanks KC

    More list done

And, in exciting news I've got a 'significant' contribution towards this weeks interview and so I've got me flights booked - will also manage to catch up with a few chums and DS too.

    Job's a good un.

    :D

I'd never have had the nerve to ask without you lovely lot so thank you.

Not a NSD as bought hair products to make my hair look 'less old' at the interview. 3 for 2 though :D

Homeski for me as I wasn't concentrating in the office at the learning factory.

Lots reading to do and a presentation to sort for Friday.........

Must also do a loose meal plan. And we all know how much I love those.

    But, hey they work.

    :D

    Current thoughts

Tuna fish casserole - cheap and cheerful and have cheese to use up
Second hand curry - :) made on Sat must freeze the rest into portions
Pasta with tomato and goats cheese/feta
    Colcannon :) with cheese omlette
Clapshot and mince (already made in freezer)
[STRIKE]Mushy pea buster - prob tonight as DD late, she can have pasta when back :)[/STRIKE] indeed there was 'lettuce surprise pasta sauce with tomato and garlic' - I told myself it was just like 'pale spinach' anyway. All whizzed up she never asked, so shh, don't say.:A isn't lettuce the main ingredient in most italian sauces?:A

    Guess that sounds about right

ETA waves to KC - boots doing three for two at the mo......
