SO glad you're starting to feel part of a team Pippi :j :j Tis indeed a lovely feeling. But I know myself (as a stubbornly self-reliant person) it's hard to let go and lean on someone else, or even accept that there *is* someone else there behind you, even if you're not leaning on them. But you're right, contributions come in all forms, not just financial. I've struggled with being what feels like 'given' half our house - but then Mr Cheery has a good deal too, and so does YOUR Rock God, and he knows it :)

Take a deep breath and let go, he'll catch you, just like you do him in so many ways :)

Good luck with those jobs. The right one will come along soon lass. As for knowing what you want to do when you grow up - I too flit between 'professor' and 'complete idler' :rotfl: Still not decided which :rotfl: I reckon it must be possible to do both :D

    Aw thanks guys!

This empty nesting thingmy has a lot to answer for :)

And, in very exciting news - I have yeast (not personally you understand this is not THAT kind of thread) got it in the local shop half price - non fluffy money was used.

And I have this book which has a really lovely section on flatbreads

So I'm going to try and make 'snowshoe breads' which look ace for a start.

    Honest.

:) I can be adventurous you know, I'm not going to profess I'll consistently do this but GP does somewhat inspire giving things a go......

    Isn't this a lovely conversation, Beanie :)

And Pippi, I too am stubbornly independent ... I too am a butterfly brain (thats *exactly* what I've just been writing about on mine, after all!), and I too have abandoned all ambition of taking over the planet. When I realised that my worst case scenario and my best case scenario were identical (renting out my house, buying a camper van and pootling about the world) it was very liberating. There'd have to be a laptop in there, so I could write, I'm sort of addicted :rotfl: and thanks to you there'd be a herb garden :rotfl:

You and TRG will be great! Like you say, you've been on your own a while, so actually being *with* will take a while to be real in all parts of your life. But its obvious that you two have such a deep relationship, as well as a fun one, and all of it mutual - I repeat, it'll be great :T

Okay, my brain has officially told me to get to bed ... I'm off. Sleep well :kisses3:

Aw Beanie dpn't cry and just an old lazy softie looking for a way of wriggling out of the real world :D

KC - what a lovely post - I'm so glad we've both given up taking over the planet its exhausting thinking about it!

A herb garden traveling writer sounds quite fun.

TRG and I will take some adjusting I'm sure that's not going to be easy and we're both *blessed* with celtic colouring.........................

Right I'm off on the van today - so have a good unchaps I'll be saving the world from an overload of carboard and paper today and make sure it gets recycled. On with the boots.................

Have a great day guys and hope today is filled with some fun!

    :D

Thanks for the comments it does really help to know we're all not alone, aside our pesky inner voices that is!

Yeah, those pesky inner voices do sometimes detract from the main story, don't they! Recognising them for what they are, however, is the main thing - and thats the change for me, I think.

To Pippi, saving the world one piece of cardboard at a time - and guess what, it can happen :)

Aww Pippi. You and TRG will be fantastic. But on the very rare ;) occasion that you may struggle, don't forget he has his bike and you'll have your greenhouse. send him out for a ride or retreat to the greenhouse for an hour. It does wonders......not that I would know obviously ;) *eyes up craft room allllllll the way in the attic* :rotfl:

Have fun saving the world today. As some place says "every little helps"
