Hope you manage to get some proper sleep tonight, a nice hot bath and a relax....

Love the look of that pop up greenhouse - very posh, I got DD a little 2 shelf one last yr for her bday, we'll put it up when (soon plz) the weather improves... xxx

Sleeping did not work :( but got a pile of admin done at 4am ;)

Aunty Wik informs me she has such a pop up green house lurking at her house :) so there may be some juggling there :D
I did that too today - and thankfully discovered that I own waterproofed trainers....... :rotfl:

You're sounding chipper. Way to go DD with the driving test - she'll do grand :D

With love from *a beautifully proportioned, fully weighed-out portions Greying* :p xx

Well done on the clever portions - although I hate it - like meal planning it does actually work. Bah. (secretly smiles too) :D

I'm chipper indeed - me waterproof posh trainers are leaking and have a hole in them - whilst I walk alot I expect more from my trainers of less than a year old.

I may do an EH and tweet/email them with photos of the gaps to complain.

Oddly my *free* walking boots from a chap at work don't leak at all. That's so wierd boot karma logic.
You had clear weather this morning?? It was HOOFING it down here, didn't dry up until mid-afternoon!

Gorgeous today too - infact absolutely glorious.

But shh, don't scare that sun.

Lazy morning here due to slumber issues.

Out in town and back again after beach walk and expensed miles too :)

    Done some work shopping :)

And found out you can put ALL your pennies in the self till at Mr t and it doesn't glower at you. So the house was raided for 1/2p/5p etc and I've managed to buy with about HALF A POUND OF CHANGE

    Cereal
    Onion
    Yoghurts

    :D

I also found out that our local poundland (Dealz to us as its NOT £1, its £1.20) takes euronotes and I had one lurking in my bag

    They give change in sterling.

So that £1.20 I spent in there on washing up liquids (2 in a pack) was a real purse filler :) 8.80 in UK coinage returned to me that I wasn't expecting - how ace is that.

    :D

I'm working later again so I really need to get a wriggle on.

IN most exciting news it looks like our bosses of 'soothage' are organising a meeting during the April holidays.

:) whilst I can't see DS as he'll be awa' this means a FREE trip down with the car to the RG's hoose so a free load of stuff travelled down.

That's rather splendid news as I was hoping to go down then and create chaos, um I mean reorganise his hoose for my impending invasion.

    :D

For fun if you fancy a peek we ate here on valentines. Nae pics of the grub though no phones allowed.

Scallops with blackpud followed by Monkfish in lime/herb butter followed by a dod of ice-cream and half a flake from the co-op on the way home :)

Staggers in SO full of pancakes its actually probably illegal

    :D

    Braw though

Fail safe recipe from me grannie - I'm sure we've all got one.

    2 cups SR flour
    1 Cup milk
1tbsp sugar (or more if you like them sweet)
1/2 tsp bi-carb (not too much it goes soapy tasting)
2 eggs (fr is best :))

Beat mix to frenzy, if too thick add dash water until its like thick custard.

Hot non-stick pan (no oil), ladle full in - cook til they bubble up then turn for a minute more.

Don't squish them they like to fluff themselves up and go all ploofy. So NO patting them lovingly, step away from the patting.....

Add fillings if you like when they're doing the getting ready to bubble up thing.

:D I prefer them hot with a smudge of butter :D

  • Morning world

Yawns up a bit later than expected - alarm went of at 9am?
But I did indeed sleep more than previously

Thank you for the bath idea worked like a charm :)

Supposed to be going out for a walk but its persisting down.......

Will yawn, have some coffee and hang up 15 aprons when they're done :) and then they're done if that makes sense.

Not much of a day planned if I'm honest - working on Sat so today's a bit lazy mcdaisy.

    :D

You see what I did there, I'm taking time off during the week when I've weekend things on.

I may actually lie down in shock, taking KC's proper lovely advice about days off.

    :D

Coffee, banks, clothes, brave the world.

And what fantastic news :j:j:j free trip sooth, DD and her driving test, lots of sleep for you after insomnia, Wik's greenhouse to be rehomed, even the yellow thing in the sky :T

And omigod, you're taking a day off to compensate for working at the weekend!

2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Ah, I have your nice weather today :D It was supposed to be torrential here, but instead we have blue skies and fluffy clouds - it must have shifted north a bit.
  • Goodlluck with the pancakes KC :)

CMMinx - its bright/showery/windy as crazy here I hope your sunshine stayed :D

Well I've just rehomed (to be collected) a pine dining table 4 chairs, two bean bags and a pine wooden bench thing with a storage bit on it - and two sheets of MDF and a sheet of ply

    All being collected too.

    That's quite excting.

As most of it came from freecycle, infact ALL of it came from freecycle that seems like a good bit of rejigging!

    :)

3 bags to the charity shop

OK, I'll quietly add that I decluttered the other 15 books but seem to have brought home 7 new gardening ones I don't yet have (under a fiver too total bargain.)

Whistles quietly - that's still decluttering honest, isn't it?

  • Cauli cheese and baked tattie - TO DO
Tarteflette (bacon less) cos we've not got none will use some peppers for colour - TO DO
Frittata cos we've lots of eggs or egg and chips which is just about the same combo just cooked different
[STRIKE]Cheesey/eggy pasta spaghetti (cos its the cheapest dry pasta I can find at the mo at 25p/500g) wonder why that is? [/STRIKE]- DONE :T
[STRIKE]Kedgeree with smoked fish[/STRIKE] - DOING FOR TOMORROWS LUNCH
    [STRIKE]Pepper surprise as we've lots of them[/STRIKE] - DONE
    Rumble thumps
    [STRIKE]Aubergenie curry and flatbreads[/STRIKE] - DOING
    Pizza rice :-)

That's a bundle of yummy teas and not much shopping (if any) needed

That should sort us out eh?!

Need nanas, cheese and milk later in the week

All so far sort of going to plan (ish)

Curry a bubbling must make some breads soon.

We're out of rice though so thinking pizza rice can wait until next month :D

We're out of bread again due to fiendish sneaky chips and mushy peas for yesterdays lunch, it required some bread too :rotfl:

And I was home so late I just had toast for my late tea after the pancake fest.

    No non-work spends today.

MUST update work expenses soon and claim them asap as they're adding up.
