Mrs McB's countdown to adventures with chooks (and Rock Gods)

Todays a tad soggy. Nothing by the stretch of anywhere else in the uk, but its guy dreich.
Hounds walked, fire on, not much on til later need to do something with the day.
But, not sure what that is yet!
Sore from bike ride yesterday, showing me I need to get out more.
Nice meal out last night and a bit of romantik timeno cards or flowers here, just lots of chat. Which was nice. And Mr RG is a good un for doing the lovely treats.
Relaxed brunch and must actually do something in a while!
RG's watching a Jason Becker film called 'Not dead yet' - quite humbling to see a guy so young affected by a delibitating disease, really so young and yet still living and contributing to music. The human spirit is quite astounding at times.
Food for thought. Positivity can outshine such hurdles. I should take heed of that.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

In great news of fast payments all the CC payments are off and looking a peedie bit better at priority debts £4579 whilst total debts with penguin chops (who's interest free) 550 as well still leaves me at a total of £5129.60 but only a smitchlet down from before. But since light bulbs these are nearly down by just under a third (27%) so that's a bit of progress.
Must keep plodding on and putting the AF wine money to the debts each day too - I use to pay £5 each day I don't have a bottle of vino so I think I'll keep that up too. As it will all help tick things down gradually and keep the chin up too. I did have some wine last night though, but will be AF later so I can probably plonk another £5 at the debts later.
The overdrafts aren't being included in these figures as they dip in and out over the month - both are free so one day when I'm brave I'll focus on them once the cc's are gone and back to full balance repayments again.
Eventually I need to shed at least one account and both OD's - slowly does it though once I'm on an even keel and moved/jobbed maybe we can focus on that.

Just reading over diaries - Starnac's reminded me that the council tax doesn't go out this month or next month - so really for the next two months that SHOULD go to the cards too.
That would be an extra £96 to pay someone off. Its a bit scary to do it but accounted for in the monthly spends. I do like reading diaries to get inspired so thank you all for postingI'll maybe do that once I know they don't accidentally take it by mistake next week.
I also need to phone the oil folks and have one final oil delivery and then cancel that 100/month dd. We'll need oil before we leave but moved in with an empty tank so best get a minimum delivery sooner rather than later.
I think we'll give notice on the house at the end of May which fits with DD etc.
So I'll tell the landlady soon - my deposit was agreed for last months rent on the house, so hoping there's only 2 months rent to pay out of the three months we have left.
Lots of folks are Music magpie-ing stuff but we've only DVD's here and Mr RG gets cross when I move them on...........................he has quite a library going. Alhtough I'm sure he'd be happy if I get rid of the rom-coms but I quite like them.
Ponders. I've relooked at my books and pondered amazon but I can't bear to lose any so they'll just get packed up. Makes me happier that way, even if it doesn't make much sense.
ETA OK so I've relooked at the books and picked out 15 I don't need/have doubles of and put them up on FB to see if anyone wants them otherwise I'll rehome via charity shop next week.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Oh Beanie we did have a lovely meal - mainly fish, which is out favourite.
We've been to that gorgeous place you've mentioned - only the once but it was fabulous - its only a wee drive from RG's Guitar Pad. And, not too expensive considering the standard and those gorgeous views.
I take it you've been too.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

SO its LATE and I'm trying to stay up and awake as DD is off oot in the toon at an 'after' party - and I'm the taxi for her and her chum, happy to do it - its not often she's out late. Our toon isn't 'wild' but she's young and this ends at 1am.
Todays great progress has been limited,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
16 loo rolls for 2.99 in a shop in toon
Some peppers and yoghurt for our tea -
HM prawn curry (jalfreze), flat breads and rice, with some salad and popadoms too.
RG made some spicy HM onion dip and I my banana/coriander/onion/chilli dip thingmy which really needs a better name doesn't it? Some lime pickle and some yoghurt made for a colourful plate - no photos - too scoffy, GP I'm sorry we're just not as quick with the camera as you..
Was yummy and we got a big bag of peppers which worked out at 25p each rather than the 80p each for the singles, BUT the meals have to involve a few peppers this week.
Milk, peppers, juice for himself (saturday night and all that) and bananas and loo roll.
So the spends went up by 6.89 on the groceries. But much cheaper than a takeaway.
A bit of a movie and some tv this evening made for a frugal night with some yummy grub
RG bought me a nice smelly candle today and I almost has a tussle with the lady in a shop when she wrapped it beautifully and then popped it into a plastic bag.
NOW I've been keeping this to myself as I know I'm a womble-geek but I've not had ONE plastic bag since before Xmas and absolutely been trying to avoid them (its so hard isnt it) - so I had to aks her nicely if she'd take it back.
With this new bag tax coming in during October - and for all sorts of other reasons (including a million reusuable bags) I'm trying my hardest to avoid the bags - half way through feb and none! YAY.
Poor lady was fine about it - RG just rolls his eyes at my behaviour.
But I did NOT bring home an extra bagTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
