  • Waves to Starnac, missed you there.

I am on a mission to declutter my rubbish.

I mean three boxes full of lego (packing boxes) DS left home 2 years ago and really, that means I'm a bit slovenly doesn't it.

At least some lovely wee boys will now get the use of it.

And, no wik I didn't sell it (sorry folks) I have limits and i'm not very dfw friendly at the thought of cleaning and sorting a collosal amount of lego.

The trick is to make a game out of it. Whenever I do youth events there is nearly always a lego game involving water (pick the bricks out of a bucket of water with your feet etc) as the woman who brings the lego claims it saves her a job!! :rotfl:

Reminds me of DD when she was about 5. The kids' lego lived in a lidded bucket, and one night they left the lid off. Unfortunately the cat weed in it :o

That was bad enough, but DD, who had shown great interest in this development, could not keep this delicious nugget of information to herself, and told her teacher and the class all about it at school the next day at 'show and tell time'

Trying her best to compose her features, Teacher asked DD: ' Oh dear, what do you have to do when that happens?'

DD replied assuredly: 'Oh that was easy, you just tip it in the bath with a lot of disinfectant and swish it about a bit' :rotfl:

I later discovered that it had the staff room in stitches, and for some time afterwards whenever something untoward happened at school, someone would pipe up: 'Oh dear what do you have to do when that happens?' to set them all off again.

Teacher reminded me of this years later when I happened to bump into her. By this time DD was at university :rotfl:

Dawn that's a cracking story - giggling here too!

Stripes - I forgot to say, the Fridge/Freezer/New House question. There should (Assuming this bit is the same "up there" as "down here") be a "fixtures & fittings form" on which will be listed all the stuff that's staying, and all the stuff that's going. Check that for your fridge freezer and if it's on there, once the transaction is completed they should be bound to leave it for you. Check with the solicitor that's right though - as we know things can be rather different!

There is a fridge/freezer and a 'wine fridge' on the house included innthe sale 'extras list'.

But the first is big and shiny and American style and black and I don't like it. I do not wish to be 'fridgist' but I have no real wish to spend my entire life polishing a fridge. My friend has one too and it's a nightmare, ell to those of us on-fridge polishers :D

The latter is surplus to requirements too but looks posh so that (or probably those) might get sold.

I'd pondered leaving them here but the sale might not go through and like my big white boring fridge/freezer (espesh the freezer, we go back along way and many blackbirds/puffins etc).

They would, of course also fit dans la flat which also needs one since himselfs one rudely went kaput last month.

Excellent advice up there EH, but they're still 'amber moving to green' on me list :-)
