Some good stuff in there, Pippi, and I hope the feedback is okay - I love your passion for the garden and for the healing environmentalism that you practice, and ....

you have a walnut tree! :j:j:j

Please, please, please, tell me you're taking it with you to TRG's? And then onwards to wherever you live permanently? Don't they take forever to grow?

    Brilliant news :T

Waves to KC you're very kind.

I am of course taking the wee nut tree to the Castle Grounds of new McB which we will find in the future.

    :D

Trog (lovely lady) sent me it for future pesto making. :D

Its peedie at the mo and will take a goodly while to grow but its a gorgeous wee beast. And I am patient (ish) and thanks to lots of you lovely folks we have QUITE a wedding forest to plant - thank you so much for all the contributions. Our wedding will (eventually) have been carbon neutral if not positive.

'Healing environmentalism' is a lovely phrase thank you.

I got a lovely email today from the current heid hejun at the big garden to say look at these things before your interview.

    Isn't that kind?

I've also a 400th blog post to write. Im thinking for a change I might actually write something about PLANTS! Won't that be novel.

Imagine 400 individual pages of my wittering. And, have decided to keep the bloglet when move as the 'Scottish Riviera' is a tad windy too and obviously there will the a moving truck 'just' for the wellyboots.

Funny old week, just when life got a bit dark and heavy, some nice things perked it up.

For that and you all I'm very grateful.

ETA when not rocking out TRG works in an 'oil related' industry so I feel I have to plant as many trees as possible and help as much as I can to balance that out a bit.

  • Work cheque is in the bank.

Expense cheque from interview arrived with NOTHING written on the compliment slip.

Whilst its lovely to have expenses - um - still no clue how the interview went and as its TWO WEEKS now, I'm sure I'm unsuccessful but even still.

How long do folks normally wait to hear if they're unsuccessful?

The last interview I went for (my current job) I had to wait for 2-3 weeks. I was successful in the end, but I knew I had a while to wait while they interviewed other candidates and so on.

When did you go for the interview and how long did they say you should wait? If it's longer than they said, phone them and just ask for some feedback or drop them an email. It's awfy rude of them to keep you waiting though

Hello stranger, I don't really frequent these parts these days but thought I'd pop on and say hello *says hello*

Nice to read about all your packing up and getting ready for the big move.

Keeping my fingers very crossed for interviews. Two weeks is a long time to wait unless they've got other people to interview (in which case they should have said how long it was likely to be) - I did wait a month once but I knew it was likely to be that long. Normally it's been a phone call a day or two afterwards. Maybe they think they've told you but they haven't...

Definitely a fan of not working full-time if it can be avoided here :D

    Hi Pippi,

Wanted to pop in and say hi. Two weeks is a long time to wait imo.

I want to say that if you don't *need* to work full time then don't. You will still be contributing to the household by cleaning/cooking/walking doggies. Enjoy your RG time x

Aw thanks guys that's good to know.

Beanie thank you - I bit the bullet today and emailed them - they said at the interview they'd let folks know the decision early the week (right after) the interview so I'm not hopeful but I think they do need to tell people (btw I'm now hiding from my email!)

Waves to Squirrel :) ipad caple lost :( nice to see you and thank you so much for popping in and sharing and giving advice :D.

Starnac how true! In the short term even 7 guaranteed hours makes life a bit less scary - I can provide for the uni lass and lad, that and a few bonios for the mutts TRG reckons a bit of cooking will count as 'rent' and I do like to COOK.

Longer term involves a large garden/workspace and who knows what - perhaps self sufficiency?

Thank you all for posting and sharing - its helped me to think it all through and get brave and mail them.

So..............................interview beckons and a networking meeting for work and DD needs to be at the airport in Ed at silly o clock (Silly chops forgets she lives 300 miles from Ed) so we're heading away tomorrow to 'combine those journeys'!' Not entirely unexpected, for ex-daddies to be silly but with a shoogle its all turned out OK in the end.

Silly daddies make life a bit tricky sometimes. Nuff said.

Anyhows we're adapatable and were kinda thinking this might happen (we've been getting 'rubbered' for the flight details from here for ages with the whole 'I'm just finalising it all' danceypoo.

Well, no point in glaring at silly ex-husband and incurring wrinkles - plan B - so interviews/meetings combine to make it an 'earlier than expected but do-able trip.' And I'll practise working from home from TRG's pad to see how it works.

    Exciting stuff.

TRG had offered to take her alone, but the flight is at silly o clock and I'd like to see her off too - so on the positive rather than being UP here where we live it will be DOWN THERE where he lives near.

So I've raided the fridge and frozen everything that needs to be saved.

The fruit is heading 'sooth with me'

The car is 'deworked' and ready to pack

I've assembled some 'fun nice lovely things' to take stuff the car full tomorrow am to TRG's flat.

I phoned a joint neighbour and asked if I can do some gardening in the shared garden and put up a gate. We got the green light. YAY.

Washing is done and last load is in.

I'm taking 'delicates' and things I'm keen that move well. I also want things around me to make me smile this week so pictures/bits and stuff which means lots and will make leaving easier.

DD is oot and TRG will grab her later

My library book is due back so need pop it by tomorrow

Ferry's booked and DD drove tonight and will do again tomorrow.

I'm sorting work to take no rest for the wicked.

Print presentation notes for next week.........eek!

DD drove to chums tonight and whilst the co-op was LOADED with goodies of a reduced nature, I declined them all aside 3x2ltrs milk for 20p each.

    Now in freezer.

    :)

Some paperworking/web admin to do before I vamoose off. Boats at midday so enough time in the AM to get sorted and meader down.

    Well that's the plan.

TRG has taken care of guitars and bikes into the car (his) and we'll head down in tandem tomorrow. He's up early to work a half day - the joys of flexitime eh?

Cheque for expenses to get to bank
    Expenses for ferry trip
    Water plants
    Fill cars to bursting.
    Keep calm

REMEMBER TOOLS, SAWS and PRUNING STUFF! TRG has a shared garden but it has a few rampant trees in it.

    I'll stop haivering now.
