Try and look after self and mutts
    :j:j:j
Pick up Dd and let her drive home with minimal interference :D
    Oh boy :D
Give invoice to treasurer and expenses and ask for a cheque on Wed if possible
Excellent! There's a real sense in that that actually, y'know, this is *your* money that you've loaned them!
Plan travel 'sooth' to take dd to airport and tie in trip with meeting (free trip)
    We like free :D
Meet a chum at hers for a cuppa
Take along some cake from freezer
Walk the mutts and wrap up.
We like that little lott too :j
Not sure what else today - am tired up again through night with 'washing machine heid'
Hmm, not so fond of that one!
**think up money making schemes for when sooth**
Most definitely! Will your Cunning Plan with Wik go in that direction too? I do wonder about knowledgeable people like you selling really high value crops, growing your own saffron crocuses, that sort of thing
I'm offline now - enjoy the walks :)

  • Aw KC you're a star.

    xxxxx

Elidee - my ears are burning I'm off for a neb - how exciting.

    Thank you!

Todays' been hard and then it turned around.

    A kinda black dog day.

But - somehow it lolluped forwards.

I met a lovely chum and introduced her to our 'Martin' and it helped. I'm so grateful for that.

And, she's made Jack's burgers and loved them!

There was dry and clear skies and I had time to walk.

I gathered some thoughts, mostly unhelpful but I had time to think them.

And, I got offered an interview at the big smoke, expensed if convenient for me to attend. Helping to teach edible growing.

A nice tea and time with TRG.

    Ellidee's kind post. TY xx

A blether with a chum 600 miles away who could have been right in the room.

And another who's' nearly 800 hearing her good news.

    A bad day turned good.

Oh Pippi. I'm not good with uncertainty either so I feel for you. You know where we are if you need a good rant/cry/shout/whatever.

As for you residing in the coal shed  I'll bring my lot up and we'll bust you out ;)

How long is DD en France for?

Nearly three weeks - and the coal shed has less guitars in it.

    :D

And thanks I may well rant at a suitable date xxx

    Much appreciated.

  • Morning universe and fine DFW folks.

Well its a suntastic day here today, much to do.

Hounds are munching (from the stores of course)
I've just seen the back of DD's head as she vamoused off with a sandwich in her bag
TRG is temporarily pretending to do clever things on his work station
I have had a wee cuppa and need to make a list.

I know its indulgent but I'm so glad I don't often start at 9am. I've a meeting tonight after teaching, so todays gonna be a long one. Inbetween (this afternoon) I'm away for a jaunt on a ferry to take me and the garden guru to a fabby walled garden.

Must do a plan for the day.

I think the first of which must be - email the interview folks and say yes please I will come in person if I might.

You know just in case they give my place away :)

Nice to know you're out there :D

Next Wed after afternoon t-time would be a good time to send some vibes to me if that's OK.

I must not haiver, I must focus and smile and sound like I do know some stuff.

We all know I'm gonna haiver right.

Morning KC the ferry trip is with the garden tutor I work with over to a walled garden in a castle.

    TRG would be very bored!

Thanks for the goodlucks you all.

Can you believe that I still haven't heard from the interview nearly 3 weeks ago. Not hugely impressed, they could at least tell me I'm not successful like they said they would.

    Richt

    That list

    Walk mutts
    Do some washing
Prepare final slides for brassica's tonight
    Finish p/w for todays visit
    Make and take lunch
Ponder if I take tea too or see how sorted I am after slides etc are sorted
    Walk mutts again
    Recycling needs to go out
    Banks to check
CC's to check - no payments lately but only two work things on the card
Book ferry (sadly on card but is work/interview expense)
Plan what to take down to TRG's hoose in car and do some serious thinking about tetris packing
Meals from stores - fish tonight
Ask DD to declutter a bag of clothes she's sorted out for the charity shop
Co-ordinate with Mrs Aunty C Wik_McB regarding greenhouses and wud for making a gate at TRG's flat to secure el mutts
TELL INTERVIEW FOLKS II WILL BE COMING - don't forget in excitement.
Have a think about how 10 hours a week works in with life and finances if I get the job and if I get a bit of additional work (eg still teaching at college/remote admin/support for wombleland) can I manage.
Remind board they're deciding tonight if I can keep a day of work with them or not should be decided tonight.

I know its dreadful (or is it?) but I don't really want a f/t job if I can help it. As I want to be still be able to cook/garden, look after el mutts and TRG etc BUT I do need to think about scary things like pensions (I don't have one)

Daft question alert - my chum and I were talking about this yesterday, is saying I'd like a good work/home life balance a bad thing, even when the kids are vamoosing off.

I've been giving myself a very hard time about potentially NOT working full time as I want to concentrate on home too.

I know we need to be able to live, but its not all about money is it, as long as there's grub in the cupboards and bonio's etc - I'm haivering but I know what I mean.

:D Informed or infact deranged thoughts on a post card please :D

Off to look through scary fingers at banks.
