Trust me I understand business, I also know the difference between ethical and immoral business.

In short anybody could buy the products I sell, I then work hard to modify said products and then sell at a profit, in short my business is product + work = final product = profit.

Touts, is product = same product = profit, so where is the work? hence my comment I would rather work for my money.

I will agree to an extent, I would never pay a penny over RRP to the touts, with that I can wait for things.

But here is the thing, I don't have a young child, I haven't told them I will get them a PS4 for christmas, I am not deperate.... many are.

The good news is my business can't fail to make a profit, touts can make a loss quite easily and I hope they all do. From there if they do make a profit I hope the tax man catches up with them if they haven't declared there 'business'.

The lack of work doesnt make it a rip off. To say so is niave and many business do exactly that. No body is being forced to buy this luxury item.

Well surely if they where a business providing a service they would offer it year round, so in this case they will continue to sell xbox ones and PS4s for years to come?

With that I do wish people would just unite and say no to these leaches, if people stopped paying over the odds there would be more in the shops and they wouln't need to pay over the odds.

As said it is morally dubious at best, if those doing it can sleep at night then so be it, I refuse to play part in either side of such scams (operating them or buying from them) and the world would be a slightly better place if they didn't exist at all.

Speak for yourself. Most people would rather do as little as possible to get money and spend more time enjoying it...

Great, more left for the rest of us that have the money to ensure we get what we want for Xmas, and were too lazy to pre-order it...

Buyers get a month under the distance selling act to return them if they can't sell them...

Don't christmas try sellers deal with a seasonal itema nd add value?

It worries me so many don't see the problem with this, or maybe I am just debating it with those who are making money from it, of course they will try and justify it.

I will say I am going to talk about touts in general here.

    So the basic chain.
    Manufacturer
    Distributor
    Outlet

    Where does a tout fit?
    Manufacturer
    Distributor
    Outlet
    Tout

Oh look its just like a leach on the side, adds no value (no benefit over the step before) but makes the price larger.

Its the worse kind of middle man, they type driven by greed.

As said, the government just needs to send a self assessment to anybody who sells more than one on ebay and watch them cry.

Anybody care to explain to me who it is morally correct to deprive somebody of something with only the intention of selling it to them for more.

How would you feel if every you buy something somebody paid for it firstly then offered it you for twice the price, apply that to a games console or loaf of bread, either way it isn't right.

nb - is there a console availability thread yet for the Xbox One and / or PS4?

Normally for items in short supply like this there is one detailing where you can buy them from to help those sellers maximise their profits....

Middle man/ broker etc etc. are a common business practice. Nobody is being deprived as they are avaible via retailers(no secret club). The retailers that buy them wholesale and add no value by the way. Its just capitalism really.

But in most cases the middleman/broker adds something, be it value or help.

The problem is they aren't available at retail as the touts have bought them all.

But then you would need to buy imported games too.

Dont worry - the games are region free on the PS4.
