  • Is there anywhere I would have a chance of buying a PS4 on the launch day or soon after if I havent got a preorder?

John Lewis, they didnt take pre orders but will have limited supply, try logging on at 00:01 and see if you can get one sent to store, also comes with a 2 year warranty which is nice

you mean an American one? It is cheaper over there $399 works out less than £300

But then you would need to buy imported games too.

I wonder how long delivery would take?
  • I know someone who has ordered two PS4's so they can sell one for profit.

I would do it if I had (and patience) the money to buy two outright, but I can't afford one let alone two or more!

I say patience because sometimes I really cannot be bothered being lumbered with an item trying to find a buyer or the hassle of sending stuff through the post. I don't particularly like sending electrical through the post as it is or anything expensive tbh.

I do geniunely hope this friend makes a loss.

I could easily afford 10+, but I think there is a risk of a loss and I oddly prefer to work for my money.

As the xbox one is out today earlier than the ps4 I do not think that demand will outstrip supply for the ps4 in the uk.

In the usa it was the ps4 out first that was what caused the buying frenzy and why they were selling ps4s for over $1000

Now you can buy second hand ps4 for less than retail

This friend also works. Not all who 'tout' are non-workers.

I don't think he meant it the way you took it.

As for me, I ended up with two in the end, mates buying one at cost....

I was referring only to the scalping... I mean touting money.
