It was not obvious to me from their own website that this account was now closed, so thanks for telling us!
I have added in the Bath BS account to my list now, thanks for that.
I have left the Chorley account on a separate section of closed accounts so that we do not get people adding in posts suggesting it without realizing that it is closed to new savers.

from experience bath R/S can be opened at a branch
brittania building society have a "homesaver" account paying 7.15% gross ( i notice uve included yorkshires home saver) not sure if it counts as a reg saver though, link says reg saver

Thanks for the info, will update the Bath BS entry.
Will add the Britannia entry too, thanks! I was not sure originally whether to put the homesaver accounts in my big post but they kept showing up as "regular savings" accounts in my search earlier today. I suppose they might prove to be of some use to somebody out there, so I will leave them in, but will keep them as a very distinct, separate category which people can jump over if they are not interested.0
