    A bargain? maybe.

Now I don't actualy believe in global warming and all that stuff, but:

Why anyone wants to heat the air outside just defeats me. This can't be a money saver by definition, due to all the wasted electricity, go in doors.

It doesn't heat the air outside though, only your body. Therefore money saving in comparison to gas heaters.

    Do the maths...

I think its a 2KW heating element - how much do you pay per kilowatt hour on your 'leccy bill?

X it by 2 to get the price of 1 per hour.

    Err....so say around 5p/kwh

Running 3 for an hour would cost 30p.

    Hope this helps!
  • Looking forward to making more use of my garden with mine, thanks to the OP.

However, could anyone tell me what the best thing to do in terms of electrical safety is as I don't have an exterior power supply. It does say not to use it in the rain (duh!) but I have visions of sudden downpours and being caught on a wet patio with a metal heater...
If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor...

  • Wow we bought this, this weekend in woolworths store, there was an extra 10% off if you bought that weekend too, good ole bank holiday!!

We looked all over the net at this heater and the best price we got it for £85

But Woolworths are doing it with 50% off, making it around £50, i'm not sure if you can still get it on the net, but run to your local store for it, if like us you don't want to keep buying a gas tank and risking running out, this is great value, much cheaper to run too!!!
