Plus it looks like there is 10% off tomorrow according to another thread which would reduce this down to only £45!

Does anyone know if these heaters are infra=red, i.e. do they heat the objects rather than the air in between. Infra red heaters are not affected by wind so the heat doesn't 'blow away' like it does with the gas models. I want to buy one but we live in a very windy area!!

I had a look at one in woolies and they look like a standard bar heater but I didn't have time to ask, I've got wind problems but that's another story :)

Just had a quick look around these look like the same model
    Tesco Model
    Argos Model
The Argos one says it's quartz, this site has some details about quartz http://www.patiorange.co.uk/patioheaters.html
Just to confuse matters I found this site http://www.gonegardening.com it's one of the featured products and they say it's infared
if i had known then what i know now

    Hi,
I have just been and bought one of these heaters from Woolworths in Leamington spa. They are a QUARTZ heater and they have lots left in stock apparently. They are buy 2 get one free and i also had 10% off. Looks great, just off to set it up, :j
Quote:'Quartz' heaters produce radiant heat like the sun, warming people and objects and not the air in between, producing the only form of heat that will not blow away. This makes them ideal for any draughty areas both inside and out.

I've just phoned my local Woolies and they have them in stock and have very kindly put one by for me to pick up tomorrow. Extra 10pc off as well, as previously posted.
There's no such thing as a free lunch but there seems to be no shortage of free tea....
