Kitchen is looking better, dishes washed, dried and put away, wet washing on radiators, dirty washing in the machine, hob has been cleaned. Dog beds hoovered and reassembled. Tea is cooking now, i also need to mop but will do it after we have ate.

clean washing taken to my room ready to iron. Bathroom has had s&s.

jobs for after tea, do dishes, mop, bath kids and iron.
  • Good evening everyone, I have been a bit side tracked this week with one thing and another therefore I have not been able to keep up. Hope everyone has had a productive week.

I spent today working on the massive ironing pile and managed to get everything ironed for the two little ones and school/work clothes for tomorrow.

As well as the ironing pile I have sorted out what I need to get done this coming week and made a roast for dinner. I am now going to tackle some course work and then get all kids to bed. I will return later to sign up to the new thread.

We've been away for the weekend and stayed at a self-catering flatlet. I did flying there, so I don't feel a fraud commenting on various Fred things.

Huge congratulations to Dusty's DS3 cricketing trials.

*envious* of people who had the opportunity to see the gorgeous Adam Hills. Good luck with the job application Valli, although you would be missed here. You almost always manage to make me laugh.

Regarding the dehumidifier Good Intentions, I'm with Dusty. It's possible that ventilation alone (free and depongs at the same time!) would be more effective than a dehumidifier and I'd try it that first. We got our first dehumidifier from a secondhand shop nearly 20 years ago to dry out some plaster in a basement bedroom - the builder was running late and we needed to paint it because the room was let. It's still going when needed and worth every penny we paid for it.

(((Hugs))) for Dancemum, *Vanilla* and CY and healing vibes for Lamewolf.

There are about 20kgs of crabapples on the tree. This house will be smelling of crabappley jelly and vinegary niffs all week. My right arm will be dropping off from stirring boiling cauldrons of gloopy stuff. Autumn is finally here.
    Better is good enough.
  • Evening all, not much done here flying wise. Me and DD walked to the shop which I have to say was lovely, got dinner stuff and lunch stuff.

Boys have tidied their bedroom and brought more washing up. At least I know where all the jumpers are now... washing machine going to be on for the foreseeable.

DD now in bath then boys can go. I need to get all clean clothes put away and then make a list of all the places I need to ring tomorrow.

LW hope your pain eases (big hugs)
    Valli good luck

Wee ones away to bed, DD asleep 45 min ago - she was shattered bless her. We've done quite well this weekend, not been anywhere, seen anyone, just the three of us, and no major strops :T They've been pretty helpful with "tidy time" and in return they've had baking time, story time, lots of cuddle time, even ipad time

Did have a really good natter with my brother this morning though :)

Nursery / school bags are ready, hats and mitts are out and clothes hung over the bannister. Just need to set the DW going after I've finished my drink.

Tooch - a massive life change/change in routine means things inevitably get put on the 'back burner' - believe me, I know. If it weren't for the fact that DD is old enough to sort herself meals out I would NOT be coping. Had I had the summer to sort the room then lots of what I am doing now, sorting and cleaning wise, would have been taken care of and life would not be so hard. And I might have had enough clothes to see me through the working week. Can you delegate anything? Can you double up on cooking and chill/freeze stuff? (see sig)

    - I think he's lovely - such a smily face *swoon* and it was only £17 each for the tickets AND car parking is FREE in Buxton after 6pm. DDs first time there - was in awe at the hotels...he really was funny...very 'tailored' to the venue, too, lots of interaction with the audience.

I took half an hour of me time today to source some more sloes, the gin is pale pink - hopefully these very ripe, huge, juicy ones will do the trick.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Well I've spent all day sorting lists for Xmas out. Mine is partly written after spending way too long on various websites window shopping, I've found a few bits for DD as I was struggling for ideas apart from her main gift (ex and I are going halves on that as its more expensive than either of us would usually spend on one gift ;)) and I also confirmed with my sis what's happening over gifts. We've decided that we're going for no unnecessary gifts so basically just the kids are getting this year, no adults. I've already sorted my parents/brother so they'll still get one although its only small, and we're buying for our uncle (he has no kids but buys for us all). So today, I have managed to halve the cost of Christmas :D Also told Ex that I'm not buying gifts this year for his family even from DD, except for his twin nieces.

Now I just need to write my shopping lists for tomorrow and I should be more or less sorted except for DD and a few things that need to be bought closer to the time, by tomorrow night :D:j

Uniforms washed, beds made up with clean bedding, just the ironing and my shopping lists to do and I can hopefully sleep well tonight! :D
