On dehumidifiers, we bought one a few weeks ago:
http://www.johnlewis.com/de'longhi-des12-compact-dehumidifier/p230604725
I'm very impressed. It has a three litre tank which is easy to empty and takes between 24 and 72 hours to fill, depending on how much washing I have strewn around at any given moment. It was £152.xx when we bought, JL was cheapest. I can't comment in longevity, as we haven't had it long but safari sagoodi!
I am still in bed, girls are baking cakes and will make sure the kitchen is clean when they're finished on pain of death :mad:0 -
As I jumped in mid week, I got a little overwhelm with the lists.... me being me, I decided to put the catch up down and when I wasn't clearing it got a tad disheartened.... I need to learn to let things go and do what I can, the house is just in CHAOS but I'll eventually get there... I did manage to fix the table, wood fill the downstairs doors ready to prime and prime my DD cupboard door ready to gloss... I won't post my list as I basically got 4 things done off it!
So here's to the new week!0 -
Ball number 10 and about 1/3rd of the way up the sleeve. The pattern states 12 balls.. good job I bought 14!

Original plan was that possibly bro-in-law would take mum down and sis and I would be there for van loading. Now it seems that it's my job on my own. Means spending the night on my own - on the 25th anniversary of my dad's death. Finding it a bit difficult to be honest.
Oh that's not on - why won't they help? TBH my gran always fretted about moving - what if all the offers to help didn't materialise on the day? How can you be there for mum and the removals at the same time? So unfair when families won't all pitch in when something important is needed.Bossymoo

she is helping - she's doing the moving mum in the other end bit. It's just the date that's getting to me. Plus the fact that this is the end of my connections with that place. Sister will still have it - her son's dad still lives there...
I'm just very emotional and completely cream crackered - not a good combination! (And in the midst of the menopause - just to add to the fun!)
The 25th anniversary of my dads death is getting to me - it's also the 3rd anniversary of F-I -L's death, and is just before the anniversary of M-I-L's death. God knows I hate November....
And apart from this weekend I have been there every other weekend in recent weeks, unlike someone else....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
(((hugs))) CY - maybe you need to have a chat with your family, and tell them how you feel and why. They may not have realised the significance of what they have asked you to do.
I have done a listand crossed off what has been done:
[STRIKE]prepare bolognaise for dinner[/STRIKE] DH has done this
[STRIKE]walk the dog[/STRIKE] DH has done this
bake a cake
[STRIKE]clean upstairs toilet[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]put on WM[/STRIKE] 2nd lot on
wrap presents for tomorrow
study - finish session
study - plan essay
[STRIKE]descale shower head[/STRIKE]
meal plan for week
research dehumidifiers - WIP
I have also cleaned the shower after I used it
OK - must crack on as I may have to out later. SIL is not well again (grumbling appendix?). She is in hospital & may have to have an op. This is a recurring problem - she was in hospital in May for the same thing. She took a long while to get over keyhole surgery!! You can tell she doesn't have kids, because she would have just had to get on with it if she hadI also need to get over and see my Mum as I can't get over there during the week.

Not often enough! It is open at the moment, but it will get forgotten. Teenage boy, hamster & closed doors/windows is NOT a good combination!:rotfl:
List updated and lunch eaten. I have also done a little studying, in between DS talking me through his homework! I must find a quiet place0 -
