The kitchen floor badly needs another wash so I'm glad it's on today's list. Mrs Dog pulled the bin over again while I was in the bath on Saturday afternoon and I just swept all the crud up. There'll be no pattern on the lino of I keep washing it. She had the beef bone last night so it really needs it now.
Oh dear, what a Naughty Girl! Candy the Westie had the kitchen bin over when she stayed (sadly she's gone to the Summerlands now) but fortunately we don't have much in the way of "mucky" rubbish, iyswim. Ruby Labrador, who stayed recently, is a known bin-diver, so we moved the bin into the lounge and shut the door overnight and if we had to go out while she was here.;) Is there any way you can Mrs Dog-proof the bin, do you think?:o

Bonnie's moulting enough to stuff a small mattress on a daily basis, so whatever else doesn't get done today, I must give her a brush, and do the Dys0n Tango.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

We put it on the countertop when we go out now anyway! She bin-dived once when OH returned home and I was still out, and the latest event when I was in the bath is new behaviour. She just couldn't see me for a couple of hours, that was all. (I occasionally treat myself to a long hot soak with a good book, and I heard her snuffling under the door but it didn't occur to me that she would mind not being able to actually see me.)

OH and I have discussed getting a dogproof bin, but I think I'd prefer that in extreme circumstances she takes her frustrations out on the kitchen bin and leaves everything else in the house alone. I don't put mucky stuff in it any more. She's obviously been on a very high fat diet all her life and she's not getting any taste satisfaction from the strictest of diets she's now on, so she's raiding the bin to get at the cat food wrappers etc.

DW run, WM x 2, whole folders of stuff deleted from the computer, stuff up to the attic, stuff down from the attic, kitchen floor washed, oven painted, N's bed stripped, etc etc. Busy day.

Lovely Lodger returned something she had borrowed which another lodger had left here for posterity, so that means she's now off to Cape Town on Thursday. Bon Voyage and all that.
    Better is good enough.

Posting my list prior to school run. Had a busy day really - did paid stuff, spent longer than I should at Knit & Knatter but had fun so why not! Then got my iron tablets, dropped off a big bag of stuff at CS, got kids presents I'd ordered yesterday and got some more bits for them. By then it was 1.20 and I was so hungry so I [STRIKE]had a big Mac and McFlurry[/STRIKE] had a salad and healthy yogurt.

    Anyhow, here's the list:

Tantalising Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    15 minutes...

    Clean floors
    30 minutes to spare...
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Got an hour...
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round

    Deep Clean Challenge
Do a food inventory!! Feel free to get carried away and do more cupboards!!!

Washlines full, trolly full, whirlygig thing full. Still got at least one more WM load to do and no space.

C drive defragmented. About to run Disc Cleanup. Yiiiiisssssss.

One letting room deep cleaned and half way through the other. I'm bicarbing both mattresses because there's a bit of stale smell down there and I'm not quite sure what's causing it. A new lodger is arriving on Friday, so as long as they're both finished by then he can choose which room he wants. Vaccuum cleaner head is about to be dehaired - yik.

Excellent idea tarotangel. *thinks* Anyone got any tips on how to train an older dog to do the new trick of floor-washing?
