    Hi all,

Thanks very much for all the job support- it's really reassuring when people believe in you, even if it's people off t'internet. The encouragement is great! I'll let you know how I get on, although I think it'll be summer before the role commences.

Apologies for my grumpiness in last nights post and for my spelling. I mostly log on to here on my phone and autocorrect is a !!!!!!.

My friend at work raves about the Jamie book that you mentioned. She loved it. I also have the ministry of food cook book but haven't looked at it for quite some time! You've just inspired me to dig it out.

Tattycath- glad you're feeling better. Long may it continue!

I meant to say yesterday, welcome to the thread Hantsman and thank you for the job support. I like your method of cooking extra to take to work. I've tried to do that a few times but my husband usual just eats any extra as seconds (he's like a Hoover) so it might not work as well in my house!!

Spent another £29.66 today in Aldi which included nappies, loads of veg that we needed, cold meat, cheese and a few other bits. Need to update my signature with the grocery amount.

I worked out the deficit in the savings account today (husband got paid this morning so I was able to transfer a little bit back) and now the deficit in savings is only £138 so need to find a way to make that up and continue saving as best we can! As I mentioned before, it's an expensive month for us.

We also decided not to go on holiday in the summer, but just do day trips to places so I hope the weather is good. Plenty of picnics, changes of clothes and exploring gear! The little fella will love it if we can get out into the great outdoors.

It's my birthday tomorrow so we're going to my parents' for dinner and will see some family which is nice. It's funny, this is the first year that I've not been bothered about my birthday- presents? Don't really need anything. Plans? Not too bothered as long as I'm with my family. Either I'm getting old or I'm just thankful for what I've got- the simpler things in life.

I'm exhausted tonight! Think an early night is on the cards. Hope you're all having lovely evenings.

Spent £38.50 on a new tyre and £10 on a wash and hoover for the car today, giving her a bit of TLC before the trip :)

Also bought some snacks to take with us. My kids can eat for England so its best that I take some food or I'll end up spending loads!

Also- I am thinking of doing a new thing with my savings.

Currently, as described in one of my first posts, I have 3 different accounts:

A current account (basic account)- this is my general household spends income etc is organised. All of my SO's and DD's come out of this one, and all payments from clients are made into this one.

I also have an e-savings account. This one is SUPPOSED to be for household stuff (new washing machine for example!). At the moment, its empty.

ISA- This is the 1 that I am concentrating on at the moment, as it's where I am currently saving up for the moving house.

I want to start putting money into my e-savings account and leaving my ISA completely alone until I have saved up what I need to for the house move etc.
So I think I am going to put my Child benefit into the e-savings account.
I want to save up for things like new furniture, appliances etc (for the new house, I wont spend any money on household stuff while I am still living here).

So, my CB is due on 18th (which I s BH, so maybe i'll get it a day earlier) and that's my plan for what to do with it.

    What do you all think?

    I got a pay rise!!!!

The Agency Boss just emailed me to say that my hourly rate has increased by 50p and hour. Not huge amounts, but I am really pleased with it as she said she is really happy with my work :)

Also- What a day! It started off by arriving at a (very attractive!) clients house and then he proceeded to strip to his boxers and iron his suit...in the lounge, while chatting to me.... All I could think was "Don't look anywhere but his face"...hahahahaha!!
