Ooh, I remember being addicted to the sims on the PC back in the day! I don't get why it's so addictive though- thinking about it, there's nothing interesting about it! Yet, if I actually sat down to it again, I bet I could waste hours on it!
Yeah, it's such a shame about the little man. He's gotten worse as the day has gone on- he's running a temperature too, so calpol and bed has been administered. Normally he won't stay still for longer than 5 seconds, but he's been lying on my lap all afternoon. Poor baba. I've just put him down for the night so i'll give him 15 minutes then pop in with the thermometer.

My weekend is going fine thanks, apart from the poorly baby. Husband is still working a lot, yes, so he's knackered when he comes in at night. He's not had a day off in weeks and has already got work (homers) pencilled in for Tuesday night and Thursday night. It's great for the money but I don't want him to run himself into the ground. Need to keep a close eye on him!
Glad you passed your test Cathy- well done!

Guessing game over.....
We are camping :j
It is so relaxed but thankfully there is internet here :rotfl:"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
I love camping
hope you have a fab time and get some good weather for it!
We might go camping again in a couple of years once my wee boy is bigger- he's only 1 right now!!CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

I went into labour with my DD3 from the camp site and returned back to our Trailer Tent when she was 12 days old
This was all planned
All of our 4 children have camped under the age of one - why don't you try it overnight

Wow- sounds fab!!
I'm not too fussed about the taking him to the actual camping itself, it's more about the cold. We'll probably wait until next year to give it a go! Games are deliberately designed to play on addictive aspects of our psychology. It's quite fascinating. Far back in the ancestry of video games is a scientist in a lab experimenting on monkeys to figure out how to get them to push a button repeatedly.0 -
I have some great memories of camping, especially when the children were younger. I think my oldest was about 18 months old the first time we tried it with kids though, I am not as brave as you TM6! We (my ex and I) used to have a minibus that he did up and we used to go off for weekends in that too, but in the early days it was a tent
Enjoy, TM6!
Making some herby cheesy bread today, its in the oven as we speak. I only make it when I know I am going to be eating a lot of soup for lunches. Its perfect to dip in tomato soup. It is dirt cheap to make too, so that helps!
Its a lovely day here today and I am going to get some washing out on the line. I have no idea what my teenager is going to do for school uniform tomorrow- I told him that if he doesn't put clothes into the washing basket, it wont get done. I am still waiting for his uniform to appear in the basket. Oh well, he'll learn!0 -

Surely that's just conditioning though. Reminds me of Pavlov and his dogsWe did a lot of CC and OC in my degree and watched loads of videos of dogs, cats and fish being OC and CC, it was fun
I tried CC on my cat once, but she has better stamina than me and I caved in first0 -

What we need is an a 'WTBSE Annual Camping Event' in Bude with guaranteed sunshine :rotfl:"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -

I'm basing this on vague memories of an article, but I'm pretty sure they did experiments into what kind of reward system to set up to get the monkeys pressing that button. They found that the trick is providing unpredictable rewards, because you never know if the next button-press might get you a reward. Which is why item drops in MMORPGs are random!0
