Getting a bit annoyed with my local freecycle to be honest. Lots of people asking for LCD monitors for pc's. I mean do you really think someone would give something like that away? Or am I wrong?
The last lot of stuff I advertised. One lady sent me a pleading letter for one item saying she worked with disadvantaged kids. Fine fair enough but this didn't stop her not turning the first time then mucking me about for her second chance at picking the thing up (she gave believable excuse for first time).

The other thing that gets me is the people that don't say thank you.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Yep - welcome to the annoying side of Freecycle! At least the nice, honest and pleasant folk on the groups make it more worthwhile - but I've met a few of the other, for sure !!

I've met a few really nice people through mine (a few remained friends) but some just really hack me off. There was one lady on my local group who had different accounts asking for things and she was actually selling them on!

theres a right mix of people on freecycle, the lovely ones, who make it worthwhile, the grabbers, who want everything, and the serial wanteds which wind me up.
most people are lovely, the others i'm learning to ignore, but it still winds me up, like this wanted
wanted large brown leather sofa, large brown rug, glass coffee table with silver legs, can collect evenings only, please email me quick, my sitting room is looking bare as i took all old furniture to the tip on sunday, as it doesn't matchthe colour scheme i want

makes me mad because a) if you really need a sofa, why does it have to be brown and leather, same for other items,

    b) why the hell didn't you freecycle old furniture if it wasn't fitting with the colour scheme you want, thats the bloody point of freecycle.

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (rant over)
offered large quantity of bedding, double duvet covers, sheets etc, from an old hotel, all in good clean condition, majority of them blue and white gingam, some not even used, must be able to collect, ******* area

now thats the sort of one I like, saves it all being binned or whatever.

(by the way, my buttons are fabulous, tipped a tin out on the floor and have spent far too long looking through them. best ever ever thing off freecycle ever ever ever.)
