    Hiya,
my old washing machine is once more up for grabs but now in its new,
and not so improved, broken state!
It's an indesit 1000, it didn't work that well when it worked, and
now the light flickers a bit when you switch it on and it tries, but
that's as far as it gets. If you would like it:
it has to go by Tues eve
it has to be picked up from 3rd floor flat in xxxxxxxxxxxx
pick up can be anytime of the day
At the very least the door would make a nice big glass bowl for
    anyone who needs one!

SO???? spares or repair. it happens.
take the glass out of the door, give it a bloody good clean, use it for salads at parties etc

Thank you so much for the bike. I went to work on it right away last
night and it will be wonderful to use when repaired!
    What? You crashed it already?

the bike is obviously in a usable condition but a repair or two will make it even better.
rusty chain, dodgy brakes, slow puncture?? I've done up a bike that had those faults.
if I had given them the bike I would be pleased that they are using it and will be doing it up. I view this as a positive result and don't see the need to question their ability to ride a bike

:T Thats just how freecycle should work! I gave away a set of plates, cups, saucers etc last night - lovely couple just setting up in a flat, who were thrilled to bits. One of the best 'offereds' I got recently were around 50 used suspension files for my [STRIKE]drawers[/STRIKE] filing cabinets - now i just need to tackle the piles of paperwork scattered around, and get them in some logical order! :D:o

Getting a bit annoyed with my local freecycle to be honest. Lots of people asking for LCD monitors for pc's. I mean do you really think someone would give something like that away? Or am I wrong?
The last lot of stuff I advertised. One lady sent me a pleading letter for one item saying she worked with disadvantaged kids. Fine fair enough but this didn't stop her not turning the first time then mucking me about for her second chance at picking the thing up (she gave believable excuse for first time).

The other thing that gets me is the people that don't say thank you.

Hey Unix :hello: welcome to the thread - have you been here before ?

You'll be addicted like the rest of us now ... it sucks you in... the patches don't work...god I need my fix :o:o ;)
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
    Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying

Do you think it was one of us who asked? Not that it's strictly necessary, Tena Lady are so happy to send out freebies, as a friend of mine has found out and every time we argue he gets them to send me a sample
How sweet it is to do nothing..... and then rest afterwards.

    Hiya, welcome!
Before reading in freecycle groups, you'll need blood pressure tablets.
If you become a regular here, you'll need:-
    • monitor and keyboard protectors (to protect against coffee/wine splashes)
    • hankies
    • maybe incontinence pads
    • sense of humour
    • a love of bunnies (bones will explain they're vermin, but take no notice of him)
    :D

Hi, I tried to join freecycle last week but don't really know how to do it. One page came up with an email and another with a Yahoo thing?? Or if there is somewhere I can read about how to do this a pointer would be appreciated. Tried a google but there was no info (probably because its really simple and it's me being dozy) Thx

rabbits were introduced to this country as a source of food, can't remember if it was the Romans or the Normans, so technically not vermin.

PS currently doing a deal with Amazon for the Rabbit recipe books

How could I have even used the words 'vermin' and 'bunny' in the same sentence...:naughty:

    Happy bunny dreams, everyone!
