    Offered... 'Exotic' Tomato Plants

I've got some spare unusual tomato plants. They are mostly San
Marzano, which is *the* tomato for pizza and pasta. They are also
excellent raw. The San Marzano tomato was the one that Heston
Blumenthal searched out for his Ultimate Pizza recipe. I may have one
or two Black Truffle ones as well.

The plants are a bit leggy and pot-bound as they should have been
potted up a while ago, but will sort themselves out very quickly once
planted. They are already trying to flower.

The seeds for these were imported from the USA as they are very
difficult to find in the UK.

I am not a big fan of tomatos myself but these sounded pretty interesting! Phoned my mum (who since moving has a huge veggie patch and 2 greenhouses) and she is picking them up tonight. I know it is not saving anything from the tip but they are saved from the compost box....

  • Hi, I tried to join freecycle last week but don't really know how to do it. One page came up with an email and another with a Yahoo thing?? Or if there is somewhere I can read about how to do this a pointer would be appreciated. Tried a google but there was no info (probably because its really simple and it's me being dozy) Thx
