Lol, so some companys do answer on specs with a quick template letter, have you had a reply from them ALL? (no need to answer ;) )
You do know I have never at any point said on spec emails don't get replied to don't you? Jees, I've had replies myself, and the content very similar to that on yours.

Yes I have had replies say simply we have no jobs and ones saying we will keep you on file and I follow them up as I set reminders in Outlook for 5.5 months later.

But like I have said I have send 60 hard copies and not heard back good bad or otherwise from any of those.

No, because I never did. If I couldn't find an email address I wouldn't send a 'speccie'.

AP, stop playing games and wanting to prove what I'm saying is wrong. You do amuse me :rotfl:
So why say on Yell you couldn't find email addresses?

I am not playing games at all.

    Have you ever hired staff?

do you not listen (well, read)? For the last time, not all companys/employers have an email address. Yell is a good source for contact info for local potential employers, is it not? If i say i couldn't do something, why ask why i said it? If you read properly you wouldn't ask so many daft questions ;)

    yes. How is this relevant?

Yell is a good source? No I wouldn't use it, no need to.
You shouldn't be looking just at local companies and if companies do not have a website or an email contact in 2014 says a lot about the company...............anyway I am out of this one got spec emails to send :P
