Hello.
I have recently created a new online dating website for creative people who are in, or interested in, any form of the arts!
It's called 'Entertaining Love'.
If you join before April 13th 2014, you get a month free. And from then on it is very reasonable.
I started this from experience of online dating.
Would love some feedback!0 -
One of the most annoying things some women write on their profiles is ...... 'no pic no reply', well that's ok looks shouldn't be important but it's not Blind Date and i can understand why they'd like to see who they may be talking to.
But then they don't post a photo of themselves.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

No photo is better than a fake photo though! I've lost count of the number of times I have been attracted to a photo, put it into Google images and found that 'Mark from London' has posted a photo of a model or actor. :-(0 -
One of my bugbears was out of date pictures. It's awesome you looked hot 20 years ago but I'm dating you now and I'd like to be able to recognise you when you turn up!0

You'll only find NSA on Masslover.com so if it's love you're after then you better look for another site. lol0

I have been on and off POF for a while....always went for the same type of guys...big, burley ones..
was about to give up hope when I got talking to a bloke just chatting generally, was not my type at all..
6 months later after a few bumpy times were still together and very happy..
so people...DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!0 -
Dear MSE, thanks very much for writing the guide about online dating. I wish I'd thought to look on here for info about this before now. When looking for information and reviews about online dating sites, it's difficult to know which info is reliable and trustworthy.
I wonder if it would be worth adding something to the guide about the so-called "adult dating" sites? I've wasted a fair bit of time and money on a couple of these recently (yes I know, I'm naive, gullible and stoopid!:doh::doh: ) I came across this info recently, but again I don't know how credible it is . . . ah right, I'm not allowed to post any links yet, but the page is called The Secrets of Online Dating by Official R Pitcher. Well worth a read I reckon.
Cheers :beer:0 -
Just have another success story to add really, met my now husband on PoF 5+ years ago
I have some random tips too.
- Don't spend a long time chatting to someone online before meeting them - you might end up having this idea in your head of who the person is, what they are like etc and it can be different IRL.
- Don't spend a long time communicating with someone you aren't interested in just because you like talking to them.
- It's easier to be pickier online. Don't use hobbies and interests as a guide as to whether or not you'll be suited - it's values and life goals that count.0 -

The flipside of this -
Be careful what pictures you use of yourself. Try and use a image that will be unique to the site and does not appear on your other online social media profiles.
I had a rather scary experience where a lady I had been exchanging messages with had searched my image and been lead to all my google/linkedIn etc accounts. She searched out my address on the electoral roll, got access to all my sports-tracker routes etc.
Thankfully, she didn't seem to have any bad intentions, just curious. But, some people may be very vunerable to online attacks from more dubious (dare i even say 'fake') users.
It has caused me to be very careful with what i put online and how accounts like to link themselves to others. A blessing in disguise perhaps.
(btw: I ceased contact with her. She didn't seem to understand why I would find the whole episode unnerving as she 'did it all the time')0 -
I would like to remind members of Match.com of the automatic renewal of membership. You will not receive an email in advance to forewarn you that this is about to happen and if they have taken out the payment it is their policy that they do not refund. This recently cost me over £77 and customer service were sticking firmly with their policy statement of no refunds. Unfortunately money trumps love even in the love business0
