What do you get your pet for Christmas?

This will be my first Christmas with my lionhead housebunny Ralph, and he is getting pretty spoiled! My OH thinks I'm mad, but I've bought him a treat stocking, a bunny fun tree, and a carrot play patch! I like spoiling him, but in reality I'm just trying to distract him from my curtains, which he seems to love nibbling on.
I'm also not really sure what to do about a tree. I only have an artificial one anyway, but don't really want him nibbling on a plastic tree and decorations. More bunny-proofing may be necessary...0 -

Teddy is getting:- a new bed
- hopefully a dog bag so he can finally travel in the car without being sick
- some fluffy unstuffed toys (stuffed ones last 2 minutes!)
- a bag of the mini non-rawhide bones he absolutely loves.
This sounds just like my Border Terrier - what is Teddy?0 -

It's one of these:

Hope the link works! He's really picky and not really one for toys, but friends have had these and their bunnies have gone mad for them so I'm hoping it will be more attractive than the curtains :doh:0 -
Last year Lily got a tin of turkey dinner, some cat milk, a mouse and dreams treats (they're awful but she really loves them, just like me and mcdonalds I suppose!)

Will probably get her the same again, although she enjoyed playing in the wrapping paper more!:heart2:0 -
A new lead from amazons Black Friday deals, a packet of applaws sea trout and another of liver that were 69p in home bargains, an advent calendar, a soft toy with rope legs in the shape of Santa and a squeaky Santa!
I am well aware that animals know nothing about the baby Jesus but my children love the idea of shadows advent calendar nestled between theirs (I have given in and allowed chocolate ones instead of just pictures but I drew the line at 'character' ones, they had to have Christmas scenes at least on them!) and helping her open it all.
I may sound cheery about it, but I have spent the afternoon hauling the decorations out of the attic. Half of them won't see the light of day this year as they most certainly aren't puppy friendly and already we are all caked in glitter and I haven't even started putting them up yet!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:
Debt free date April 2016!!!!:eek:0 -
My (adult) daughter sorts the pets out. They have stockings:
Dog stocking usually has a squeaky toy, some treats and something to chew
Cat has treats and toys in hers
Rabbits have carrots , treats and toys in theirs.
Pony/horse has carrots, apple and equine treats.
Chooks do not get a stocking, although a couple of years ago they got and eglu.
The dog also has an advent calendar:)
Mad really.0 -
My GSD used to get a new tough toy....and the paper from my pressies to rip up, plus xmas lunch and long walk.
When young my Norwich got toys, but he was never really into them much...his favourite thing that he seemed to think was his present was a hamster, he used to walk around with it on his back and follow her around when in the ball and bark for me if she got out of it. She knew exactly how to jam the ball in the downstairs loo so she could then open it. Hamsters are not dumb. Also the paper from my pressies and a xmas lunch of course.
One year I got the cat on of those rotating heater things (can't remember what they are called), the ones that are a bright light not a fan one. Totally regretted that as my electric bill was horrific.......it was like a 'cat-sauna'....and it got banned as she was basically cooking herself and got really dry skin. she loved it though, would sit and meow at it to be switched on.
This year she will be re-given the 30 balls that will be under the beds/sofas/in wardrobes....etc. I am not buying anymore as she has a basket full of stuff. Friends will get her stockings...so more stuff for the basket....unless it's red, and then she will probably carry it about.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
