So today I have started ordering some Christmas gifts for our two cats, my Nana and Sisters dogs and my parent’s birds (parakeets, cockatiels and pigeon). Just wondered who else is buying their furries presents and what they are getting.
Cats
A kong toy each (feather mouse with catnip for Salem and wild tails for Gizmo)
A XXL pack of Cosma Snackies each (Chicken for Salem and Tuna for Gizmo)
A couple of packs of Asda Tiger treats
A pack of Dreamies each
A nice big gift bag sprinkled with catnip each to play in
Dogs
A squeaky toy each (only time of year they are allowed one)
A pedigree Jumbone each
A couple of bags of treats each (whatever is on offer)
Birds
Millet
Some treat sticks
New Swing
We did buy a ceiling cat tree for Salem and Gizmo but they got it early

You can tell I'm still a new furbaby mum. Your dog list is pretty much my fortnightly shopping list for Teddy LOL!
Teddy is getting:- a new bed
- hopefully a dog bag so he can finally travel in the car without being sick
- some fluffy unstuffed toys (stuffed ones last 2 minutes!)
- a bag of the mini non-rawhide bones he absolutely loves.

Well last year I did wrap up a packet of treats for our old dog, but to be honest he had a massive pile anyway from people! This year we have Heidi greyhound, who my mum very kindly bought a coat as an early Christmas present for (much needed), and I am planning on getting her a Kong Wobbler .... but she might get this early too. Maybe a tin of corned beef or something can be wrapped up so she doesn't feel left out on the day lol0

My parrots (conures/cockatiel) get a trip to the vet/boarded for Christmas

Dog gets something like a Kong or some kind of toy that will last and keep him occupied, as well as a roast dinner.0 -
Ah yes forgot about the Christmas dinner. The dogs get a dinner (minus the carrots, they hate carrots). This year Gizmo will get a nice piece of raw steak for his Christmas dinner, not sure about what Salem will have as he only eats biscuits.0

They have a huge tin of treats at their homes but I hate leaving them out, plus it means they have something to play with and we have something to bribe them with.0 -
I don't actually buy my cats anything for Christmas but I do for my mum & dad's dog. Usually I buy him some nylon chew toys.
My cats are more than happy to tear up/hide under disgarded wrapping paper and play with/in any gift bags or empty boxes. They're not really into treats or toys.0 -
My indoor guys get a some 'rich pickings' (pet safe left overs) in their supper and they get a home made stocking. The stocking has toys for the little one who likes them , (the others aren't fusses) and something edible that a LONG time of the day. This is always the hardest choice as I don't really like raw bones in the house and they want to be in the house. We don't like roasts bones and the rawhide stuff doesn't interest them much. Pigs ears last less than a minute in this house.
one dog eats hers in less than half a minute! 0 -
He'll be getting a frisbee, the same as every year.As soon as he even hears the word frisbee, he goes absolutely nutty and will then carry it around for hours proudly laying it on everyones lap for them to see, and then running off to have a mad half hour in the garden with it.0

Last year, Pipsqueak got a stocking from aldi. She loved the chocolate smelling rope and still plays with it. She liked some of the treats, but the green tree-looking treat gave her bright green poos! So none of that this year. She'll probably get a pig's ear as I know she likes them. She's very fussy with chews :rolleyes:0

Lots of treats (tins of special food etc), toys, and bits and bobs like that.
The best one i ever got her was this: http://www.petsathome.com/shop/climb-and-hide-lookout-by-pets-at-home-79907
3 years later she still spends most of her time playing/sleeping/purring on it
