What are you getting your daughter for Christmas?

My daughter is five too. Every year she sits with the Argos and writes a letter to santa. She hates dolls that look like real babies.
On her list this year are winx club fairies, that air hogs atmosphere ball that looks like it kind of floats. The appen that you can draw on tablets with , a dress up costume, a rubiks cube and some my little pony stuff.0 -
Well I have done some shopping today. Toys R Us have a 3-for-2 offer on LalaLoopsy stuff at the moment, so I have bought:
Lalaloopsy Silly Hair Doll - Peanut Big Top
Mini Lalaloopsy Radio Control Car
Mini Lalaloopy 8-pack
Ever After High Rebel Doll - Raven Queen
Now I'm not a fan of dolls, in particular the Barbie stuff, but even I have to admit that the last one is gorgeous.
I've also got a Pink Power Ranger costume on order, and I'm going to find an Early Learning Centre to get some more toy food (most of the ones close to me have shut down so I need to look a bit further afield...)0 -
Glad you found something onlyroz. Raven is what my DD is after and she's double your DD's age. She wants it to argue with Apple about whether you should be a Royal or a Rebel and to film the dialogue she invents for them.:D0

This is very handy for me...being in the process of getting to know the Lovely Fella's 4 year old.
Anyone got suggestions for a quiet but bright 7 year old boy? My first thought is some sort of chemistry kit.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

For the young gent, Lego. His own bodyweight if you can afford it. Not that you & LF won't be in there "helping"...
Or, Nerf weaponry all round. And lots of spare ammo. Nerf wars are fun... (Though the "target acquired" snap with a round down the cleavage posted on facebook is a rite of passage you may wish to avoid.)0 -

But I can second the Nerf guns - make sure you get plenty of extra pellets though because they *will* go astray. And try out the loading mechanism first because some of them will be too stiff for a younger boy to manage without help.0
