Two ways - take the test, or forget about it for a few days. If the latter, posting about it on social media won't help.
I do understand this point of view. Maybe it wasn't the best thing to do - posting on here but I think it was a reaction to the initial panic. Either way, as previously said, I will leave things another couple of days and if nothing has happened by then I will take a test. I know I could do it sooner but I am feeling a lot calmer today anyway and can use the time to get my head around things.0 -
P. S. I hope I don't offend or upset anyone with this post, I know that there are lots of people ttc on this board.
Honey, l tried for 8 years to get pregnant and l would never criticise anyone for their feelings about a potential pregnancy.
What matters is that a child is born wanted and will be loved and cherished.
I hope you get the result you want. xxx

I'm always 24-28 days - but the month before last, I was 2 weeks late (never been late). Three negative tests, so knew I wasn't pregnant. Not sure if it's a very early menopause sign (can apparently drag on for 15 years or so, so at 43 it's not that unlikely), or whether I was very briefly pregnant. Sometimes our bodies do strange things... so who knows.
Was fine the following month.
Let us know! I think it's exciting. Go get that test!

Funnily enough I had the same thing last month. I'm usually as regular as clockwork but I was 10 days late. I knew I wasn't pregnant because my husband had been away on tour for 8 weeks or so. I get the odd mood swing and almost morning sickness type nausea. At 43 I'm starting to think the menopause won't be too far off in my future

Well I hope it's not the start of the menopause - that would depress me! I'm only 29! Deep down I really don't think I am pregnant, I think my body is just playing up this month. I know it's not impossible that I am pg but I would be extremely surprised. I will test in a couple of days if nothing has happened by then.0 -
Have you been using contraception?
I'm another that doesn't understand this type of thread but then again I'm generally very pragmatic.

Yes, we have and although we are careful in llight of the fact that I am never usually this late I am a bit worried in case something didn't work when it should have done. It will probably be fine but I wish something would happen.0 -
I think you're pregnant
Joking of course. I need to know the outcome now so will subscribe

Even weirder - the 40-odd year girl opposite me (at work) had exactly the same thing last month and has never been late before. Two weeks like me (we didn't 'synch' or anything)! She's got a coil and is definitely not pregnant.
Maybe it's a strange bug of sorts!
