Some Eleanors get called Norma as well. Never heard of anyone called Eleanor being called anything apart from that or Elle. But its not really a common name up here (Scotland) these days. Know a few people who have called their kids Ellie.
One of my sisters is called Eleanor - as a child, my parents called her "Nell", and she named herself "Els" as she started school, and remains that to this day.
My other sister is called Olivia, and known universally as "Lily"....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
If you want to choose a flower name, why not make it a little more unusual than Daisy? Primrose, maybe? Or Iris? Even Zinnia?
Rose, Violet?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

One of my faves for a girl is Elin (A Swedish Girl's Name)
ELIN
I've always liked it since I heard it in a Swedish film about 15 years ago now!
I also like Freja (Spelt the Swedish way also!)0 -
Bella is popular name.0

I like Summer. Some probably think of it as a bit Chavvy but I'm a Leo, and my beloved dog who died a year ago today was called Jazmine. I had named her after Summer breeze by The Isley Brothers so it would be a continuation if I named my daughter Summer.0

Why Gracie and not Grace? The baby will be a grown woman one day.
Roma? Why? Where did you get that from? People will just think gypsy. Did you throw that in as a joke? You can't honestly have considered that.
You need to think about the initials as well and what they will spell.:hello:0 -
I love Daisy and Grace.
My niece is Grace Louise, my Daughter is Maisie Grace. With reference to the Daisy Boo name we always refer to our Daughter as Maisie Moo - my mum said she will get a complex, but my little sister was always called Livvy Loo and she doesn't think she is a toilet!!
Other names you may not have thought about:
Molly
Holly
Eva
Ava
Ebony
Sally
Cara
Kate
Phoebe
Emily
Amelia.
Please do come back and tell us what you have chosen.0 -
