Thanks for sharing a pic of your targets with us Babafette! I've found it helpful this month making a UU list, it has really focussed me, so hope it helps you too. Sachets are easy wins but feels like you're making decent progress so definitey a good place for you to start.

Re. hairwashing - I seem to get through shampoo at the same rate as you. I have long hair and I wash it daily (and live in a hard water area) but I'm fairly certain it takes me a few months to get through a 250ml bottle. I started a new one this month so going to keep track of when I finish it, I expect mid-January with the conditioner just ahead of it.

Your hair type sounds similar to mine, too - have you tried Argan oil ones? My initial reaction was that it wasn't right for my hair as it would make it greasy, but I use Ojon shampoo and conditioner and it does wonders! It's pricey but goes a long way as you just need a little, it leaves my fine hair very easy to detangle and makes a real difference to damaged/dry ends. I think And rates the Avon range - not sure how much this is but think I'll try it once my remaining Ojon is finished.

Oops sorry for long post but hope this helps!

I am sure that you will soon work your way through your PP's now that you have identified them, btw I have serious lamp envy:D
Thanks maddiemay, I wish I felt so confident in my ability! :rotfl:
Wow, that's a lot of things! Good luck getting through them. I agree that it helps so much to sort of set your sights on something and then focus on using it up :)
Thanks, it looks like an awful lot of things to me too. I was going to add more, but I reckon it will be much easier to do it bit by bit. I must stress this is a miniscule percentage of my stash, it's just a few bits that were easily to hand which I targeted because I thought I would be able to use them up fairly quickly and give myself a boost.

    project_pan1_zpsd5f3832a.jpg

Lush bath bomb (this is absolutely ancient so I have no idea what fragrance it is!!)

I appreciate that others would probably be able to use this lot up in about a week, but as someone who isn't used to pampering, I've tried to set myself a realistic goal without going over the top. :o

Hopefully this is achievable and I'll be able to start posting some use ups soon! :)

That photo looks so arty!! Good luck with the UUs. I think there's only one product in all of those that I've used before which is the Gok Wan body butter which I hated the smell of. Hope you get on with it better.

I have another UU to declare: Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliator. Love this product and have a couple more tubes in my stash (one full size and one that came as GWP from recollection).
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Thanks for your suggestions Sundaysgirl. :) I thought perhaps I was just slow to use up my shampoo, but it seems not. I haven't tried argan oil shampoo yet as I haven't bought any new shampoo for over a year now, but I'll definitely keep it in mind when I've finally got through my stash in another few years! :rotfl: I do have some of the Lee Stafford Argan Oil which I really like.

Thanks, I think the photo is a good visual reminder of how much stuff I have to get through. I thought the Gok Wan butter smelt quite nice so I'm looking forward to using it. :)

VALM/Babafette - Funnily enough I adore the Gok body butter, love the smell and the texture. I am currently using my last one along with the shower gel and shower scrub.

I have ins - naughty step beckons

LIB Glamour Beauty Box - I resisted for a while but I love the Balance Me roll on and that is £15 alone, also a fan of the Benefit mascara (except removing it) and the HD Brows kit looked so nice so I gave in, I also added a Dr Nick Lowe cleanser and the L'occ shampoo and conditioner minis.

  • Hi Ladies, and welcome to VickyA and Babafette :j
A long awaited UU this morning:

    22. Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo 400ml. WDBA, I love this, and would consider Bee Strong my HG shampoo and conditioner. However, I have tons of shampoo at the moment, including one of those Lush solid shampoos that And has made me lose all hope of ever finishing :P

ETA another one, I jumped the gun a bit!
    23. Pink Owl foot cream - this was originally an NSpa minty foot cream that I decanted into a cute owl container after cutting the bottle open. I WNBA, it's a bit like rubbing toothpaste into your feet, and I hate the tingly cold feeling. I also hate when I touch my eyes after using it, like I've just done! :P

Woooooooooo FINALLY on the shampoo front, are you pleased even though its probably ur HG product? :D

Hellooooooo, absoultely love this picture of your PP!!
It makes me feel better about the age of some of the things in my stash, as the lush bath bomb is a relic and the body shop thing looks quite old too, :D I wonder what bath bomb it is..
I would definitely use it with something else so that it doesn't disappoint too much.

A lot of my relic stash I gave away on freecycle as I had SO much to get through. I also did this with mine and my mums stash that was at my parents house before I joined this thread...honestly there was SO much stuff, I was amazed.
Two large carrier bags full and that was just the stuff to give away not including the stuff we chucked..
Trust me newbies, you are in very good company... :rotfl:
I might see if my mum wants to join :D

I have sinned. I bought the Body Shop advent calendar. I did get it half price and all the travel sizes will be used on weekend aways. I also bought the Yankee Candle one because it was so festive looking. I am a naughty girl and will now go and sit in the corner.
  • PS forgot to say Babafette I love your siggy :)

I have some INS from the weekend, some are to be Xmas presents and some have already gone where they need to go too so I'm not counting those.

BUT I did get given a freebie from the Boohoo bus in town so IN:
-St Tropez instant face self tan (or something like that I can't remember)

I am also liking the look of the LIB box, i may order one on Monday if they still have some, I'd like the brow palate and the hairspray, I can give some of the other things away for pressies for xmas too :-D

I'm not feeling great so I am going to have a nice bath cocktail tonight to use up a few more of my lush items.
Its the perfect evening for a bath as its horrible outside :-S
