Will do! As I said, the 1p doesn't bother me but if it is a case of one of the merchants not being eligible for some reason it will be good to know for the future.

    Thanks!

    Exactly :)
But Asda, Asda petrol stations & the Co-op should all be included. If there's an odd merchant code one is using that isn't currently included, I'm sure they will look into it for you on request :)

I too didn't get all my cashback this month. Wouldn't go above £8.60ish and spent around £220 in the end just on petrol, at the same petrol station each time. Weird but not bothered as long as it works ok on my next statement. Have a feeling the cashback won't be around for too long, very generous

This will show you the category that transaction was in, all should show as supermarket or petrol.

I only spent £224.71 this period but have the full £9 showing, Nov £224.78 with £8.99 and Dec £224.78 with £9.

I've been 1p short too (see post #351) on more than one occasion. It just seems odd that that it can't be accounted for in a single purchase. It also wasn't a case of my rounding up to the nearest penny.

Nope, no refunds for anything and the only places I had transactions with were Co-op, Asda and Asda petrol station.

Did you pay at pump? Maybe it's the pre-authorisation going back that counts as a refund or something?
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

I doubt it. They use the same auth code (So its basically same transactions with a higher amount), the transaction isn't voided or refunded.

They all say supermarket apart from the Asda petrol transactions which say automated fuel dispensers and the Asda I use is a pay-at-pump station so this might end up being the explanation.

I've sent them a message, still waiting for the reply.

Automated fuel dispensers is obviously a fuel puchase.

I can confirm that transactions from Asda using that MCC description earn cashback :)

It says on the Luma website:
"To protect your personal account information, we can’t answer email queries about your credit card account."

I would give them a call for an immediate response :)

Which is 5542, one of the accepted MCCs. 5541 is Service Stations ( with or without ancillary services) and 5411 is Grocery Stores (Supermarkets). These are the 3 main accepted MCCs for cash back. I always use Asda or Tesco pay at pump and get cash back.

My theory is that the cash back is calculated on the daily total carried forward from pending to recent activity and is correctly rounded to the pound. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. From my earlier post
I only spent £224.71 this period but have the full £9 showing, Nov £224.78 with £8.99 and Dec £224.78 with £9.
  • Is your card the 4% cashback Luma, the subject of this thread?

    Yes, it most certainly is.
My account shows that they owe me £26.71.
