Just noticed my hubbys first statement has been produced allready, he only got card 1 week ago and only done one £60 spend resulting in £2.40 cashback. Im guessing this means he can't get the full cashback this year! Grr

That's a very pessimistic way of looking at it. The cashback earning limit is £9/(statement) month, so you haven't earned as much as you could this month, but you're now onto the next month sooner.

If you've set up a direct debit, and chosen a date for it to be taken, I expect the statement date has been set based on this.

He set up a direct debit to pay in full each month and they asked him which day to take the payment. Would have topped up both cars (which need filling up in the next few days) had we known

Activated card and bought some fuel today. Surprised to see that the transaction is already on my on line account under "Pending transactions", along with the name and address of the vendor, date & time, MCC, auth, etc. Nice, never seen that much info before.

I'm not sure if you can use CapitalOne's App as well, but if so, you can view the same pending transactions via that. It's a great app/website. :)

I've had lots of cards over the years, with many different providers.... but the Capital One website is the best by far.... lots of information on the transactions, and they appear online instantly.

Agreed. Very few issuers show pending transactions. The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is American Express.
