Got a paper credit agreement to sign through the post yesterday - so 7 working days as they said. I'm assuming they have sent this as they have changed something from the online one but i can't see anything dramatically different.
One thing I did notice is is has an annual fee - which is currently £0. this implies it could change in the future so that's something watch out for

The new terms and conditions from most companies seem to show an annual fee (even if it is 0). It must be a required change.

Not true - you're making quite a lot of assumptions there. I was accepted well over a week ago and am still waiting for email/ paperwork. Also been at the same address for 5 years.

I guess the word "Presumably" in the person you are quoting is a good indication that they are making assumptions ;)

Have you checked with Luma why you still have not received your card IF you were accepted online?

It looks like others who were accepted online have already received their cards - takes 7-10 working days someone said, although those who have received them seem to have got them well within that timeframe :)

Congrats to all which was accepted for the Luma Cashback card. Unfortunately my application to the regular Luma card was denied again.

I know that eligibility checkers (MSE, Noddle offers etc) are not reliable, but both gave me that i have very good chance of acceptance - 9/10.

They gave me the same 9/10 for Capital One Classic and Classic Extra. Since Luma is owned by Capital One, is it worth to try some of the Classic One cards or since they are the same company, the credit criteria will be the same?

All with my credit rating is fine, i am just new to credit. I will appreciate any suggestions. Cheers
  • just had to have one of these cards, but thought id be declined due to taking out over 7 credit type accounts over past 7 months.

applied, ticked the box for £200 credit limit, declined the offer of a instant cash advance, hit submit and got the futher checks message, thought id been declined - this was 8 days ago.

rang 2 days ago up on this, guy said it was still processing and he did not know if I had been accepted or declined.

letter drops on floor today, with capital one logo on it (already have one of there cards)

opened up to be greeted with a £1200 credit limit (get in lol) don't even want this amount let alone need it, going out to post the acceptance letter later on tonight.

no passwords or log in details yet though.

I do belive if you tick the box for a £1500 limit and that you want a instant cash advance you stand more chance of been declined, as it looks like your desperate, personally id just apply for a low limit and stay away from the instant cash advance box, there is no need to have a high limit on this particular card, due to the cash back limit per month anyway

thanks to whoever put this offer on here, 4% is not to be sniffed at, especially with nationwide only paying interest on one current account!, still got my sanny 123 current account though.

Yep, i did the same. Untick the cash advance and said that needed limit between £100-£200 - declined. Should i try the Luma Cashback card, because it states "The New Cashback Card for Poor Credit", but for the regular Luma card there isn't mentioned Poor Credit anywhere on the page? Cheers

You normally have to wait 6 months with the same issuer, even if its a different card.

I was accepted online on 31 October. I have yet to receive my card.

When I phoned up, they said that everything was in order, it was just taking longer than normal to process applications.

Yes, excluding Tesco tyres, Tesco cards, Tesco fireworks, Tesco party and Tesco carpets.

I'd expect you'll get a letter soon saying it'll work until January 22nd, just got my letter this morning, and other people have received it as well.

That's why I applied for this card, seems a nice alternative. As long as it gets here before 22nd January, I'm happy :)

I just got my letter from Aqua a day or two ago. :(

Nothing from Luma / Cap One but they did a search on my credit file.
