• Thanks for the info.

I now know I got the wrong card either my mistake when applying, or they sent me the wrong card. Either way, they wont let me switch to the cashback card so I had to cancel and take a hit on my credit history.:(

can someone check if their credit card agreement shows any info on the 4% cashback?

I've just received my agreement to sign and send back but i cant find anything regarding any cashback. Have they sneakily swapped the cashback card to the standard version?

So they have sent you the card before receiving the approved credit agreement from you?

How odd.
• Is today the general statement day or will everyone be different? Just wondered what day i've got to earn cashback in this first month?

What day did you say you would want your DD taken? You would count back from that.

Phone them up and ask, they will tell you statement date. Mine is 4th which seems to be 1 month after the application approval date, payment is 27th but I was asked if that was OK. Longer interest free than my other Cap1. Cut off date is usually the day before statement date, my other Cap1 card statement is 7th and purchases up to the 6th are on it. The statement, payment due and dd date is the same each month irrespective of the day of the week.

My statement date is the 23rd. I rang them and asked, then noticed it on my account online doh! DD goes out on 15th.

Have just used this link and it seems to still work as of today Wednesday 27th November, 7pm.

Make sure when you check the agreement electronically that there is a rebate section (as mentioned by 10_66 in comment #253), here is an extract:
Rebates

You will be enrolled in the Capital One rebate programme. For the first £225 worth of Purchases at Supermarkets and Fuel Stations applied to your account in each statement period you will receive a rebate of 4%. ...
Many thanks for the links and info. to the previous posters.:T

For the first time ever i've been turned down for credit lol. Got my letter today. They claim to have their own method of credit scoring, and, given my very good credit rating, i can only assume they turned me down coz they realise i was probably only applying for the cashback. Oh well, you can't win 'em all! :-)
