Hello all,

Only a week until Call of Duty: Ghosts. I am very excited. Have booked the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off work. I know it might seem sad but I don't care!

Just wondering if anybody has seen anything that confirms what is in the game? I have seen a bit of multiplayer gaming and I must say it looks amazing!

They've made a new mode with aliens in. I imagine this is Infinity Wards take on zombie mode.

I'm personally finding it hard to get excited for COD anymore.

What I expect to see - a reskin of Modern Warfare containing:

1 x sniper level
1 x vehicle escape style level
1 x level causing mild controversy due to it's content
1 x level whereby large amounts are spent in a state of extreme duress as a result of a massive injury

and of course

over 2 million people with no sense of what constitutes reasonable behavior inclusive of but not restricted to profanity, sexual discrimination, homophobic discrimination & moderate racism.

Not that CoD has been predictable for the last 5 years since Modern Warfare was released...

:rotfl: Sounds about right.

CoD lost me when they started to think that packaging a three hour single-player campaign mode into what is the FPS equivalent of an EA Sports multiplayer title was acceptable for a premium-priced product.

I think it's ludicrous that even years after it was released MW2 never drops below £20 on Steam sales, such is Activision's greed.

They're by no means the only offenders but they are by far the worst.

I won't be getting it personally, I have the sneaking suspicion that my little sister will be though, thus when she's off doing a night shift at work over the festive period I shall temporarily take possession. Lets be honest here, 7 hours ought to do it given the laughably short amount of gameplay a CoD campaign has. (I don't remember the last time I played a CoD single player campaign any longer than 8hrs - even that was under effects of strong painkillers!)

As a retailer I know it will sell, as a person I know why it will sell, however I think that the hype over it is somewhat crazy given the fact it's essentially FPS 2014! Atleast EA who are notorious cash cow milkers have the common sense to switch between Battlefield & Medal of Honor regularly enough to avoid it becoming too stale.

I don't think it's fair to slate them for their campaign - it's only really a back up for when your internet is down! People don't get CoD for the single player aspect (or if they do they really shouldn't bother!) it's all about the multiplayer. This is really just one big (expensive) map pack and a reset button. Small improvements in graphics etc. Re-jig of a few things.

It is what it is and it's very successful! I don't think anyone is fooled that it is anything else.
I don't get excited for it any more either but this is purely because the calibre of other multiplayer games has increased vastly in recent times. There are also way way more multiplayer games to choose from out there too.
