Just a update, I put my appeal in only to find the code invalid. I contacted excel and iv still had no reply. I'm now over the 28 days appeal period, so iv just emailed POPLA about the situation.0

Oh no, if only you'd said or just searched the forum for 'invalid'. This is common, caused by a browser issue usually and now your 28 days is up, is it? So your POPLA code has numbers suggesting an early December rejection letter? You can check the POPLA code start date on the ParkingCowboys link I added into the Newbies thread recently.
You even said you had a POPLA appeals form and could have simply posted it to POPLA. There was nothing wrong with the code, almost certainly.
Now Excel know who the driver was and you may have missed the POPLA boat. Oh dear I hope POPLA let you submit it, why don't you send it in the post to them today anyway with a covering note saying you have already contacted them to explain the 'invalid code' glitch caused this slight delay and Excel have also been informed in writing about the issue (no wonder they didn't reply by the way, they must have been rubbing their hands with glee at your difficulties...). Just do it today, 1st class to POPLA I reckon!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I will do that thank you for your info and help. Over Xmas we moved house so everything was a bit mad as you can imagine. But I know that by the time we had moved and everything unpacked I'd have enough time to put my appeal in on line, only to find the invalid code. I didn't post it as we had packed most things away and put into storage, one of them being the printer. So I thought I'd would be easier to just get moved and pop my appeal in on line.0 -
POPLA have been in contact and are looking into it for me0

They have allowed me to send me appeal via email. So all is done and sent in0

Nice result, did you email POPLA and explain the issues you had then?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good morning,
I certainly did, they said they would look into it. They sent me a reply saying the code was working for them but I was OK to send my appeal in via email as it was at the end of the 28 days. So fingers crossed now for another successful appeal0
