P.s, how do you make the vodka? it sounds exciting! xx
This is the recipe I used for the limoncello. It says it only takes 15 min prep and 5 min cooking, but I always made more and by the time you grated 18 lemons and sterilised etc all the bottles etc it takes some time.
But this year I'll try this orange&cranberry vodka. Seems much quicker.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Everyone seems a little down in the dumps. I wish we could all sit and have tea (herbal) and chat over things but trust me.. I know it's hard. It's a little depressing when you know whats ahead of you, what you have to give up... Sunday is my first day off in two weeks. Then I have another two weeks of work after this one day. trust me I know how down right depressing it all is!
Especially when you get home from work at 0030 to prep your extravagant ill-prepared lunch for the next day, shower yourself, dry your hair and realise at 0130 that you have to be up 3.5 hours for another day at work. I have literally been on the edge of tears a few times....although that was back in the days when I was paying for something else - this time I have a goal in mind - to make my life better...
But hey look at it this way - you are not alone!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Hey NSK... just to clarify (or I am going to be in a heap of trouble):
When I am on holiday, I can spend my spending money without losing a spend-free day right?? (because it was budgetted for??)
You guessed it right. As long as you stay with in your budget. Even a penny over and you incur an SFD...:(“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Good afternoon NOers!
Just back from a spontaneous cup of tea with a friend I haven't seen in months. I needed to get out the flat - been stuck inside since Sat with this ear infection. However, my friend said they'd pay, but I always bring my own tea anyway, so hot water is generally free (which it was at Ts). We met in Tescos cafe (how glamorous) and I walked there. MSEy as I did not wander into the haven of spending and thus maintained today's SFD :money:
On my way home I paid in £12 into the bank- £2 in coppers and a note. I don't like having cash, I'd rather it be in my account. Got home to a letter from said bank for DH offering 15 months 0% on balance transfers and at a 3% transfer fee on a cleared CC of his. This fee is less than my other CC I was considering using (3.5%) and longer - excellent :T
Also as I was typing this an email came through inviting me to interview for a job I really really want. Unfortunately the date is a day I'm scheduled to be working and coincidentally had swapped to work it with a colleague who wanted that day off! Sod's law eh? I shall have a look and hopefully swap off easily, tho it's less than 2 weeks away :T
So please all of those who are feeling a little glum share my rainbows, unicorns and sunshine  I shall send some your way :A :grouphug:
Might do some more baking/cooking. I made falafels yesterday and pancakes the day before. All healthy, high protein ones. I use a website called NicsNutrition (.com). Fancy trying a quiche, but we've only a couple eggs and not got a planned shop for few days. But might creep and drool over her recipes this aftDebt at LBM June 2013- £31,300

It's great to be cheered on when you're doing well, but far more valuable to know that when it's not going so well you'll find support.
That is so true.......Thanks for your support.October make £10/day currently £11.020 -
Thank you for such an inspiring post NSK!
It will be worth it in the end I know. I had a credit card statement today and I'm thrilled that I have paid just under £100 off since September and the remaining £70 will be paid off this month. The eBay money will go towards paying off the other card. Doing these challenges has changed my thinking and is enabling me to reach my goal of being debt free. I constantly remind myself of this and on my "bad" days it's harder, on a day like today it is ok and I can see that light (depression is an evil thing!)
You're right NSK, we are not alone, and the support on here is second to none and has become a big part of my everyday living. And you NSK, You are truely a LEGEND!Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -

my mum has guilted me into today's SFD. I really wanted to get a treat to help me through work tonight - i would have sacrificed the SFD to make myself feel better. another review at work tomorrow. getting a bit fed up of this. had a bit of a cry because of all the pressure. oh well. more work now.0

Well I feel quite upbeat - now managed 5 nsd in a row! (I think!). DH is definitely helping - I saw a couple of tops in the m and s sale, and asked him if I should buy them and he said 'no we're not spending any money this month'. However, I was going to buy similar tops next month (long sleeve tops for £5) and so still wondering whether to buy them now rather than full price next month. Hum. I'm very cold most of the time at the moment and could do with more layers.
Now finished work for the week (don't work Fridays - yeah!). However got to spend most of the weekend doing paperwork including tax return. Oh well at least when it's done it's done.
Will also try to get 20 things donated as well tomorrow or this weekend. Getting quite a pile but just got to take them to the charity shop. Also got a pair of shoes to put on eBay (only worm once so might get some money for them).
Have a great evening and Friday!Oct grocery budget £368.40 / 6000 -
Checking to report SFDs- 12/25.
Managed to arrange a new client consultation tomorrow, for 2nd job. Fingers crossed they like the products and want to commence using them!
ETA: Did balance transfers onto DHs CC (see earlier post today), so now no CC debt is on anything but 0%. Unfroze the CCs for it and everything!
Also after posting on the more techie bit of the forum, have worked out how to tether my 3G from my mobile for my iPad to use. Done this for both DH and I so that saves us £20 pm! Hurrah! If anyone is interested in doing the same if they have a tablet device I can post the link to the thread.Debt at LBM June 2013- £31,300
