  • LoveaDove Hope you are feeling ok... hugs.

Seems like it's that time again when a lot of us have a bit of a dip for whatever reason - personal, emotional, financial.

I had a really tough day at work today and picked up OH at his work as I was passing through the city from a visit. I had the beginnings of migrane and was feeling very grumpy. Then I had to wait in the car for an hour while he finished what he was doing at the office. I was going to suggest to him we picked up a takeaway as I was feeling very bluergh. He came out of work with a present of two slices of chocolate cake he had saved for me from a colleagues birthday celebrations and then offered to make scrambled eggs on toast for me when we got home. So, I am now feeling much better, very pampered, and still managed to maintain a SFD.

Tomorrow is spendy as it the weekly shop, but that should be it till next Friday... fingers crossed.

Hope everyone is ok, and maybe feels brighter as we head to the weekend... look after yourselves people x

PheoniX I am looking into tutoring at the moment but unfortunately the government moved almost all exams until the summer so most people aren't considering a tutor yet. I'm hoping to pick up some tutoring after Christmas and I've signed up to mark exam papers but again that'll be next year.

All my ccard debt is on a 0% card until June 2014 :) I'm going to pay off my ccard by June then hope to overpay on my loan to clear the rest of my debt ASAP :)

Grrr wasted a SFD on an impulse spend, I blame OH! He asked me to call at the shop for him on the way home after 13 hours at work and gave in to temptation and bought chocolate for me and cookies for him. So mad with myself now :(

I'm going to put the full amount £9.86 in my misc balance until OH pays me back the £7.95 he owes me.

    Took lunch to work :)

Declaring another SFD here taking me up to 5 :j

Also had an email to say £10.75 is being paid from Quidco to add to my money making total :T

Nothing else sold on ebay but keeping fingers crossed. Must get more listed at the weekend.

Today was Avon delivery (to me - I am a rep). I have just spent an hour sorting out my customer orders and hope to get them out over the weekend. I have been recharged for something I returned so need to try and sort that out. Hopefully will be ok though, not had any trouble before, it is just a pain.

I am off work tomorrow. Still not been to PO so must do that and hopefully visiting mum (she is in a care home). Ideally I want to get some stuff priced up for the nearly new sale I am helping at on Saturday to raise a few more quid for the kitty. I need to venture into the loft though so that definitely needs a couple of hours dedicating to it. Some general house/car tidying needed too and I have an extra hour as the boy has an after school club so no excuses really.

Hopefully another NSD tomorrow, I am getting the hang of this :)

:eek::eek: - WHAT!!! That's what you can do with all those dispenser thingies.....??? I remember seeing them and not having enough time to have a proper look. I might head there again tomorrow which is a spend day for sprouts (alfalfa not brussels) and see what else I can see... that SO COOL!!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Yeah baby!!! I've only seen the machines at the HSK branch as I think the Camden and Piccadilly stores are too small. I made my own almond butter there last month (mmmmmmm :D) and yes, indulged the plain chocolate/hazelnut version last night. Worth every penny and every calorie!!! (If you do the chocolate one, the ingredients list Milk in the allergens, but I checked the ingredients - and checked with Wholefoods - and it is in fact vegan :))

Your box room sounds ideal Kat, especially as you know that this move is temporary. 9 months or so? As long as the bike is safe and kitty is welcome..an ideal opportunity to de-clutter even further in preparation for living out of a rucksack!

Fab news on your PPI claim Liliyanna :j That'a a brilliant boost (and your £80 money making target in the bag!)

Another SFD for me :) I randomly bumped into a friend of mine while I was out Mystery Shopping and he insisted on buying me a coffee (hoping I've not broken the no coffee shop rule?!! All I did was be there and drink coffee, I didn't spend a penny!). I also was very tempted by a plush mattress topper (you restrict my nights out, I get excited by mattress toppers :)). And John Lewis's Christmas shop made me really really want to wear fluffy pyjamas and look at twinkly lights! But, for this winter at least, I'll stick with my holey mismatched PJs and already darned fluffy socks :rotfl:

Working all weekend so hoping to bag another few SFDs!

    Hi everybody,

Not a lot to report today. Hubby put some petrol in his truck and I filled my car so there's been a significant spend on petrol today. Other than that I haven't spent anything. We're still eating out of the chest freezer and store cupboards, and I had planned on doing a shop on Friday but my daughter has asked if I want to go to 'the big town' on Sunday so I'm going to try to delay my shopping until then, see if I can eek out another couple of days.

I officially received my invitation to my work Christmas party and once again there is a letter requesting a ' $20.00 contribution' (approx 12.50gbp) towards purchasing a gift each for the MD, the Area Manager and the Operations Manager. I forgot that this was expected and hadn't budgeted for it, so I've reallocated the money that I saved not having to pay the dentist which means there's now only 6.25gbp in my Mortgage OP Pot.

At least it's something and I'm still within my overall budget.

Scores on the doors so far:-

    Food 39.96 / 187.50 21.31%
    Petrol 63.13 / 225.00 28.05%
    Local food bank 0 / 3.00
    Hair 0 / 62.50
Works Xmas Party 0 / 3.25 (Raffle contribution - goes to local charity)
Dentist 0 / 18.75 (Had my appointment and no costs were incurred so 12.50 has gone to a gift contribution and 6.25 has gone into the Mortgage OP Pot.)

    Total 500.00 GBP

    SFD 6 / 25
    Declutter 0 / 20
    Extra money earned/made 0 / 80.00
    Kilometres:
    Start of challenge figure 93008 }
    End of day 7 figure 93253 } driven 245km (153 miles)

Wow it's hard to get up this morning! Only left work less than 10 hours ago :( I now have a lot if respect for those people who work shifts or do overtime :)

Hoping for a SFD today after yesterday's wayward stray off the NOvember challenge. Also plan on rummaging through every drawer and cupboard tonight in search of items to eB4y, after finally cashing my £15 cheque from my contact lens survey :) Tomorrow I aim to take all items to the charity shop and maybe do the food shop whilst I'm out and about.

Suppose I'd better get some breakfast and head off to work. Hope you all have productive SFD days :)
