Enough food to make vegan delights for a good while ( I have noticed a few other veggies raising their heads ) and today I made my own humus.... AMAZING!!!... and my own rosemary&thyme crackers... I am in heaven.
Oooh, NSK are you Vegan? We're a vegan household over here in PBS Towers.
Oka,y so SFD today. Took DD to the local skate park to try out her new scooter and spent the afternoon sewing the first curtain of a new pair for DD and DS playroom. It looks okay, but it was harder than I expected.

Blimey! That seems crazy to me too. Each to their own I guess but I would rather stash some away or savings or if I was in a better decision would spend it on a trip to Disney....Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Thanks NSK so 2 SFDs
I will of course also do the £3 food bank. I'm waiting until a spends day and I will visit a supermarket that has a food bank drop off point (do main shopping at Ald!).
Just had 5 items finish in eB4y and 4 soldAlso sold a book on Am4zon. Will update signature once I've posted the items and figured out exactly what I've made.

Shyspender - £450 off the CC... AMAZING! I pay debts off at the beginning of the month. This is the only way to live. Well done!!

NSK - thank you for the praise but I feel like a bit of a fraud. The £450 was what was left in my account, not what I thought I could portion off from NOvembers wages. I should, but, as this is only month two for me doing this challenge I'm still playing safe until I get used to it.
I did use £80 of my OA budget leftovers for the NOvember and put £19 odd in my teramundi.
Udated my signature today. I forgot to add the £2.40 for a pack of mini lemonades to the total. Did all the shopping on Friday, got to the car and remembered I'd forgotten them, so went back in, but didn't have that cost on the long receipt.
Managed to take the meat sausages and beans back to a tescimo yesterday, and exchange them for meatfree.
I've clocked up two SFD's Saturday and Sunday, basically by not going out. I'd like to say it's MSE dating, but, we just didn't want to do anything much, so had home cooked supper and watched a DVD, but anything to save spend free days.:D
 I did have my first beer in 33 days though, it was sooooooo nice! But instead of right royally falling off the wagon, I had one bottle (all be it a large one) and that was it.
Should get at least another five SFD's in this week, if not more because I really don't need to go shopping for a good couple of weeks.Feb NST #4
Food £16.55/£200, Fuel £0/£250, Ents £17.47/£180, General £4/£100, SFD 8/15, LTW 11/16
Debt Free Date Friday 29th March 2014 :j0 -
Right, well my iron blew up  so i've used my imaginary going out fund of 20 quid to buy a new one-so spendy day here
. I say imaginary, as if I do go out, it's free
I'm back to work tomorrowbut have put some dinner aside, for my lunch
Nothing else to report, but keep up the good work everyone :T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -

I post pictures of my food when I bake (saddo) and would appreciat you sharing any of yours as well...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. NSD 3 in November for me today - my 5th in a row. Have been clearing out the cupboard and freezer for meals and (a shocker for me!) actually eating the meals I've bulk cooked and frozen previously. Normally I'd just keep them in the freezer for a billion years then throw them out because they're so old!
Will need to spend some tomorrow - out of basics like milk and bread. I need to do a big shop too, so will probably put a Tesco online order in. Browsed the site for ages last night to see what I could buy as "value" items, so will be buying a load of those, plus I have some money off from a price match voucher.
Just need to work out some low budget lunches that aren't porridge, I'm getting a bit more of that now! :rotfl:February: 5/15 NSD0 -
I have just updated my signature to two SFD :j and put my total for food shop including my delivery fee for the next 3 months for now but I am expecting a refund of about £7.90 ish to go back into my account. Probably take a few days to confirm and back into my account. Hoping for another 5 SFD this week and hopefully my next spend will be Saturday for a food delivery shop again. I do have the Scouts Fireworks Evening which I have already declared and I have budgeted £10 for this (does this count as a SFD??? if it does then I will aim for 4 SFD's then!) I also have two coffee mornings arranged, one at my house and another at my friends house, so no spends there as I make home made cakes and I have all the ingredients at home already.
Well that's me for today folks...this thread has really motivated me. I will also find out tomorrow where the local food bank is and the opening times so I can buy a few extra things in my food shop for Saturday and pop it round.
Have a nice evening :j0 -

Eyeswideopen - how long left on maternity leave..?
I'll be on maternity leave until end of June 2014. I mentioned I'm in Scandinavia and maternity leave is a lot longer than in the UK. Last year I worked 420 hours overtime which gave me the opportunity to pay off two credit cards, it's going to be more hard graft from now on in!
Congratulations on your one year of doing these challenges by the way NSK, very impressive! I agree that getting rid of the constant wants is important. I wouldn't go so far as to say I am having shopping withdrawals or anything...(she hopes!) but in my pursuit of bargains I have overspent lately. I need to find that simplicity! Finally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!
