Not got very far but place is surprisingly tidy. Washing on the maiden, crumble cooking, going to shut the curtains and meal plan for the week as I need to go shopping tomorrow.

    Hi MOJT.

I've not been out today. There are trees down on all exits from our little town so I couldn't get to work. DH couldn't get the to rail station. The shops are bare (as reported by DD1) people are panic buying.

I've got back ache which is most unlike me. I've tried to stay as active as possible as I know that immobility makes things worse. Blinking hurts tho!

Loads of ironing done and the bathrooms are nice and clean.

Tomorrow I need to find out if Mr T has been restocked and the kids are at the dentist in the afternoon.
  • Not got much done today due to the children being off & Himself being at home as the trains weren't running.

I cleaned the bathrooms & tidied the utility room.

Lamewolf, even with newer items, the cost of repairs is so much, it's cheaper to get a new item. It's dreadful & can't be good for the environment.

    Love (((hugs))) & spoons x

Phew, been to Ikea. Got DD's new chest of drawers and have seen the bed that we think she'll get. We'll get the drawers assembled tomorrow and then we can get on and sort out her clothes again.
Probably going to stay off list this week though :o.

    Evening all,
not got much flying done this evening, have to admit to being a lazy mare and sat on the sofa too much.
Did TD the rest of the wet washing which is now all away, looked through the cupboard and did a meal plan then popped to the shop to get the few bits we needed, now just made a list of all the outgoings to start a budget for when payday comes on Wednesday.
Need to speak to the BF about what he pays towards bills etc not really sure where to start figure wise though. The house on paper is mine (though he does officially live here, doesn't own it though) so I don't really think it's fair to ask for half of all the bills. Before the move he did stay over every night but didn't officially live there, more just had a long term sleepover haha He gave me £50 a week to pay for food shopping (wasn't meal planning at the time) but I think that's not really a fair price for living here. Any thoughts on what's fair?

Did also manage to work out that the heating is fine, it does seem to have been the thermostat. I'm still thinking of getting someone out to look at the system and make a recommendation on an upgrade. At the moment I've got a boiler for the heating but still got the immersion tank. I think long term it would be more efficient to have a combi boiler. I've no idea when this heating system was put in, probably 20 years ago when the house was built.

Dad called earlier to say he is hoping to visit this Sunday and bring his wife and my grandparents to visit the new house, will need a good clean and tidy up throughout before then. Tomorrow I have a meeting with my AS team so flying will be a minimum but Wed-Thurs I can get my finger out.

    Have a nice evening all
    'see' you tomorrow

LJ If your BF is living with you then I would suggest he pay half of everything? Unless there is a good reason not to?

Well I ended up completely off-list but the living room, hall and stairs aren't too bad anyway. Spent a couple of hours sorting my Room of Doom. And it looks so much better :j Done lots of paperwork tasks.

Is anyone doing the 0rganized Home Christmas planning? I am trying it for the first time this year - just got a ring binder together :)

In other news - have emptied bins, washed dishes, hung laundry out, folded dry clothes ready for ironing.

Extra jobs for tomorrow include ironing, and making soup, as well as the lists, after work. Also got to go to the Post Office for various things.

    No Flylady meet today

Nobody has PM'd me to say that they can definitely come to the planned meet in Birmingham, so it is officially cancelled. Sorry nobody could make it this time! We will try again in 2014.

    My revised list for today:
    - get the curtain pole put up in the lounge with much help from the carpenter
    - SW
    - post letters
    - pay a bill
    - fly a bit
    - lunch at home
    - travel to Leicester this afternoon and go hospital visiting.

My daughter rang yesterday to say that the DGSs' childminder is ill, so could we please go and look after the boys while she is at work on Thursday and Friday. I'm afraid we shall not get much more done at home this week, as we're looking after the DGDs on Saturday too, but I have made a long list of mostly small jobs to be started this afternoon by DH and continued tomorrow morning by me while DH is out, then the rest will have to wait until Sunday :p

Hope everyone has a good day. Welcome to newbies and returners. Jenny, take it easier today, work in babysteps (the mess wasn't created in a day) and get your full night's sleep!

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all who need them. Hope everyone affected by the storm has got power and heating now. Stay safe!
