Afternoon all, from a very nice hotel room in rainy Cheltenham.

Spent the weekend with inlaws near Bath and get to stay here tonight whilst DH does his stuff with some clients today and tomorrow morning. Was planning on hitting the shops but it's peeing down - me and DD's have had a very girly afternoon so far and all had lovely long hot baths, a bit of hair pampering and we're just about to climb on the bed in our jammies and watch a film and eat copious amount of choccy until DH gets back.

Off out for dinner later and might even go catch a film if I can find a cinema and some listings online.

Nothing OS to report at all I'm afriad.

Hugs to all the poorly ones, PP, Johannasmum, Queenie and so on - hope you're all feeling better soon.

Math - Great to see you posting - I'll have you know that some of us still enjoy a morning fumble even after 7 years together - when I say enjoy - I mean thinking about it though - cos waking up that early is just damn silly :D

Hope you all have a great evening.

    Good Afternoon All :hello:

have only read page 1 and 3 so will catch up with page 2 later but just wanted to say to the 'early birds' you crack me up :rotfl: ( can math be classed as an early bird??? )

well I was up at 5.30 and on the road for 6.30 on my way to Peterborough for an interview at 10.00. Got a phone call at 9.05 to say the interview was cancelled because I do not live on the area that they want covering  so I turned around an got back home for lunchtime. This interview has been booked for over 2 weeks and they waited till I was 15 minutes away to cancel on me. The poor lady at the recruitment agency couldnt apologise enough and she has told me that they will cover my expenses, but I dont think they take into account the fact that my DD & DDog stayed at my Mum & Dads last night and I did a lot of research into the company all for the interview on top of hiring a car and putting fuel into it  anyway a friend of mine has said that a charge of 40p per mile is quite fair so they will be getting a bill for £120 :o ok, rant over :D
On the way back from my non interview I got a call from another recruitment agency and they want me to go over to Leeds tomorrow for another interview so fingers crossed for that one now :o
Picked up DDog on my way back and she is currently curled up fast asleep next to me ( how can a dog sleep so much  ) DD is at school till 5.15 as she has a dance class. I have smoking cessation clinic tonight - will have to confess to buying and smoking 20 fags last week :o I have a few phone calls to make and some paperwork to get tied up and later need to do research for job interview tomorrow.
Managed to get an hours ironing done yesterday which with the washing I did yesterday and today hasnt made much difference to the mini mountain so I am going to try to do an hour later too - I find my knees dont ache so much if I do it in hourly chunks :p
((((HUGS)))) to those who need them ( especially PP, Lorenzo, boo81, scuzz and pink )
right Im off to make myself a cup of tea and get on with my list.
    Have a good one everybody

    Afternoon !

    Hope you are all ok.

Had a ok sort of day, apart from my debit card being declined when trying to pay the rent!! Had to go to cash machine to get money out and go back, woman at counter looked shocked i returned, so i said i knew there was money in the account dont know why it declined it!! So that put me in a bad mood! Then realised i couldnt draw anymore money out as had withdrawn up to my daily limit, so couldnt do everything i wanted to get done today, but have food shopped spent £20 and if my meal planning is right i have everything i need to last until next monday.

Just preparing tommorrow nights tea which is a chicken dinner as mother in law is coming to stay over, she is arriving at tea time but i have uncles funeral at 12.30 so need to get organised for her coming, so plan later to get change of bedding ready as they sleep in our bed and we just sleep on the kids floor, and need to tidy up before i leave for funeral tommorow.

    Have a nice night all

Thats the one, we always go there when we go to the pictures and generally rotate between Moza and Aroma which are both the kids favourites. I want to try the new Mexican though next time.

Well feeling a bit better now, have done my end of years for both business and that is a relief. OH has cleared the washing basket and sorted kids clothes for tomorrow so will have a night off from ironing!!!

    Afternoon all,

Hugs to all in need or want.

Managed to sort some of the things on list to-day, but slept very late and only got finished by 2...at which stage we had picked up DGS1 from school, OH announced that he was hungry so we went for lunch in our local pub, OH picking up the tab, problem is he thinks he's still on holiday, will have to have a word.

DS1 was on phone yesterday for Father's day and says that we should come see them next week as both dgss are away so we are 'free'...said yes but when I looked at airfares they set me thinking...€580 to Eindhoven with Ryanair and more with Aer Lingus...will see later.

Raining on and off all day but two of our newer apple trees are laden with apples which is great. Lots of things went to seed in the garden while we were away so maybe I should stay at home next week and take care of things...not sure, its only five days this time.

Have so many things to do that I dont know where to start, will have to write a list and then prioritise. I know that the ironing needs to be dealt with, but don't want to do it so will probably do something else!

Have a good evening one and all

    Afternoon all
Got back from work to find the washing all dry, so I got it off the line double quick, before it starts to rain again.

Tiredmum, I know this will sound batty, but check your Mum doesn't have a bladder infection, they often cause people to become confused, not sure why, but it is true.

I'm way behind with my work, my intray is full to overflowing, the person who mans our Medical Room is of sick again & so I spent 2 hours this afternoon looking after a 'selfharmer' she'd been dumped by her bf & was very upset, fortunately the cuts weren't deep, but I was a bit out of my depth, I'm only a first aider! Still I let her talk & fortunately I'm not easily shocked & eventually she calmed down & then we chatted about music, she's an Evanesence fan & so is one of my kids, I think she was amazed that some one as geriatric as me had heard of them, then she told me she's a goth & I was able to recommend a good online goth shop, by the end of the day she seemed more cheerful, so maybe I did some good.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
    Hugs to all

    Good evening all:hello:

Wonder if this missive will evaporate in the ether, site keeps throwing me off:rolleyes:

Had a lovely day at Bluewater. I just adore John Lewis:D We spent ages wandering around the store, particularly the kitchen areas:D Bought a few things, including a new all-singing, all-dancing Braun stick blender, with chopping, slicing and grating attachment:D Will give my perfectly good present model to DS4's GF. Does that neutralise my spendthriftness?:o

From there we went into Lakeland and of course there was absolutely masses of stuff that I didn't know I needed so badly until I saw it:rotfl: :rotfl: But I did exercise a modicum of control, and one or two bits got replaced on the shelves:o :D

After a wander around some other shops (and a great lunch!!) we finished up in M&S home department. Didn't buy that much, honestly!!! All stuff we really need. I do think I need to remember we are now on restricted income, it's taking a bit of adjustment;)

Best get off now and make some dinner. We're having chicken curry, made with Curry Queens lovely base sauce. With luck there'll be a little left over to put on jacket potatoes for lunch tomorrow.

Hope you all have enjoyable evenings, and ((((hugs))))) to the sad or poorly.

    CMxx
