Morning all
Not raining ATM, but it has been. I know the gardens need it, but enough is enoughDS and GF came round yesterday for Father's Day dinner, and we took them to see the allotment - don't worry about your weeds FB, I can easily win the prize for most weeds, they don't seem to be stopping anything growing though :rotfl:
Sorry about the abcess PP, hope you get it sorted.
Work today, so will take Tortilla wraps for lunch, and put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker for later.
Hope everyone has a good day xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning eveyone.
A mix of showers and sun this morning here, so im glad i got the washing done and lawns cut yesterday.
Everything ready for school so have time this morning for half hour on here, just waiting for the tribe to surface.
Todays plans, meal plan after checking freezer contents aimming for a £35 max food spend this week so i can pay extra on the bills, so need to do cupboard and freezer lists and meal plan around what i have, i know i still have plenty of yellow stickered meat left in deep freeze so £35 should be easily done i hope.
Need to do budget for next month and allow for gifts for dh birthday and our wedding anniversary. Pay some bills and hoover the upstairs.
Hope you all have a lovely day

Good Morning all
We were up at 5 as usual, lunces made, DW is unloaded & reloaded, WM is full of lodgers stuff from yesterday, I'll put a load on as soon as she's unloaded her stuff, I managed to get loads of stuff dry between the weekend showers.
The fish are fed & Thumper & Ogden have been fed, watered & chatted to.
It rained here over night so I don't need to water in my new plants this morning & my lavender bed is looking a lot better this morning after yesterday's bindweed blitz. I just wish my neighbour would sort his front out & then I wouldn't keep getting over run.
I'm off to work in 5 minutes, taking in the rice bag I made for a workmate with a bad neck.
Not sure what to eat tonight, I'll grab something from the freezer as I fly past out the door.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

Good morning everyone - and good to see you again Kazonline - I'll take a big cwtch,if I may
Very dull here, but we had a lovely day in the garden yesterday. We've removed lots of weeds from what will be our new sitting area, and DH has levelled it. We need to fit the fence next. then choose some patio flags. I got all my washing dry outside, so need to iron it today.
Had steak for tea yesterday, from our meat box - it was delicious, and very tender. Will definitely be using them again.
Went to a friend's birthday party on Saturday night. She's very keen on the Californian way of life - apparently they start their parties early, and everyone is gone by 10pm. The invite asked for us to be there at 6pmNo chance - DS wasn't in until 7:00  We got there at 8pm, by which time a lot of the delicious nibbles had gone. We had a lot of lovely food, though, and a great time.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Good morning all!:hello:
Well, it's looking a bit overcast here so - I confess it - I have put the dreaded TD on. Anyway the washing is done, so that's one thing out the way.
Saturday I went into town, mainly for fruit & veg at the market, but passing the Oxfam shop I noticed a sign saying all clothes £1 and £2. DH didn't look terribly impressed, but I went in anyway, and came out with 3 tops at £1 each.
When we got home, DH decided he was going to move the fridge/freezer to get some stuff that had fallen down the back. So I thought it would be a good time to defrost & declutter as well. So all the food is unloaded, & the fridge/freezer makes its way into the middle of the kitchen.
At that point DH notices that the local ant population has decided that the motor of the fridge/freezer would make a nice warm comfortable home:eek:
So we spent the rest of the afternoon clearing up the ants nest. Finally I sprayed the area with the stuff for de-fleaing the house that we got when our cat Lemon brought some "guests" in. That seems to have done the trick.
Mind you, we have moved the kitchen round a bit, so the f/f is no longer by that outside wall, so hoping the ants don't try another point of entry.
Today I am going to the church in the morning, as a local primary school is having a mock wedding! So that should be fun!
Have a good day, everyone!0 -
Good Morning everyone
Kaz nice to see you back posting. You have been missed.
PenPin Hope you get that abcess sorted today and the nurse didn't make a pin-cushion of your bottom.
MATH if you don't post again today can we assume that you may be partaking of some "afternoon delight"? By that I mean a peaceful nap of course.
(((hugs))) to those who need/want one. You know who you are.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one weeding yesterday. All this rain seems to do more for the weeds than the plants.
DD has a cycling proficiency course at school this week. As she hasn't actually passed the course yet I will have to try and get her chopper-style bike into my teeny Micra to take it to school. That should entertain the neighbours for a while.
Then its off to w**k. Will have to ask my boss if I can have next Friday as a holiday as I'm hoping to have a friend to stay for a few days. She is having a very hard time of things right now and it would be great for her to have a change of scenery for a few days. Need to change days for job no.2 too.
Governor's Meeting tonight. DS and I have to watch The Last King of Scotland before I go to the meeting as the DVD has to be returned tonight and I can only do that on my way to the meeting.
Time for :coffee: I think. Have a marvellous Monday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

:hello: Good Morning!
Special hello to kaz! Really lovely to hear from you! So glad life is working out for you!
Recovering from a weekend away and a lovely day out yesterday, family took dh to see the dali exhibition at the Tate which he loved! Also got to celebrate ds's success (proud Mum and proud Dad moment) and had a lovely tapas meal out (and rather too much wine as well) Scuzz a packet of ready salted crisps and some lemonade seems to work for me when I have overindulged! Hope you feel better soon!
Overcast here so will have to get the airers out! Going to put on a film and potter through the ironing later.
Breakfast - Toast and leftover jam (need the jars for the next batch)
Lunch - tuna salad
Dinner - Moussaka (aubergine in the veg box to use up)
(((hugs))) to Kyles lo!
Have a lovely, safe day!

Morning all
I like Scuzz am feeling a little worse for wear this morning and I know it's self inflicted but I am feeling woozy to say the least.
Kaz - Great to see you back posting I have asked a couple of times if you are OK.
Plans for today are just to get through it to be honest. We were supposed to be off to the cinema this evening but I think i'm going to knock that one on the head to be honest. Apart from that I should get on with the paperwork but again I think this might need to be put off until tomorrow
Hope you all have a great day and take or leave the :grouphug: as neededYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Good morning all,
Well, it's back to normality after the weekend. Have empted and reloaded WM and DW, made beds, and fed DDs. Girls are in front of milkshake whilst I've snuck onto the computer. Then just have to persuade them to get dressed! Went to bed late last night as watched final of 'Britain has talent', have had 2 cups of tea so now just about functioning.
We're off to a coffee morning this mornnig which will give me a chance to catch up with friends I've not seen for a while and give DDs some more LOs to play with. Then more friends to play after school, so have to make sure house is reasonablely tidy before they arrive (not that it will remain tidy once they've arrived but must show willing)
Tired mum- that sounds really bad customer service, would you write a letter of complaint? Especially as it's put you off going back when you used to be a regular customer.
Right off to vacuum.
Hugs to all who need them
Edit: I've got my first star! :j :j :j0
