Spar don't sell them. I will have to wait untill boxing day then. Oooh, maybe I'll get one in a sale and keep with the ethos of DFW lol

Very DFW. Go to the doc, they do em for free ;)

Only 2 days to wait. How come you haven't done a test before

It happens quite often that my cycle goes missing, sometimes for months on end, it's a side effect of my implant. So when things like this happen I try not to worry. And this time around I certainly wasn't complaining at the *cough* fuller appearance to my bust. I usually have to take about 3/4 tests a year thanks to a non cooperative cycle making me a bit paranoid. BUT I've been on implanon since I was 18ish, and to complicate things even more, my doc has told me I've been on contraceptives for so long I might not acutally be able to have kids!

It's a mad world, it really is.

The things us girls go through ehh

I once missed a whole month, still havent a clue why, but my DS wasn't even a year old, and I was scared !!!

I no longer have a cycle at all thanks to contraception, so if we did have an accident, I'd be quite far along before we found out

Good luck with the test hun. Dont forget to let us know, wont you.

Good luck JCD and I hope you manage to enjoy christmas without stressing too much about it. Tiger prawns sound good, I have to eat christmas cake later unless some guy in a red suit turns up.

Thanks hon, they-were-brilliant. Pretty chuffed with myself actually, I haven't forgotten how to cook completely yet! Am I the only person on earth who doesn't like christmas cake and fruit cakes alike? My mum was practicly rugby tackling folk in asda to get one and I couldn't fathom why :rotfl:

HELLO! Nice to see you again hon and thanks xx :) it'll probably be on my mind to some extent, but not to any great lengths. It could just be that the old plumbing is playing up again. Still not complaining about the extra boobage tho!

  • So I nipped out to ASDA to pick up pretty much whatever I could and take advantage of the reductions on offer due to the store being closed tomorow.

    Here's what I bought:

Deli counter pre packaged olives and sun dried tomatoes in olive oil x 2 - £2.55 each - 20p each = 40p
    4 x 70g Tiger Prawn kebabs - £4.00 - 25p
    Smoked cod loin - £2.19 - 25p
    Celery - 68p - 20p
    4 x passionfruit - £1.20 - 20p
    Whole trout - £2.48 - 20p
Whole pineapple - 98p - 50p (oddly the most costly of the lot)
    Vine ripened large tomatoes x 4 - £1.69 - 50p
    Half cuecumber - 60p - 10p

Should would have come to - £19.92
    instead came to - £2.60

I had my eye on some packs of trout that were reduced, but I'd helped my mum home with the shopping, had a cuppa then returned an hour before the store closed for the goodies....alas, the big packs were gone. Come new years eve closing time I'll be there for hours just doing cicles

Here's how the tiger prawns turned out:
First put prawns under grill on low heat then thickly chopped one vine ripened tomato and one stalk of celery.
Lightly sprinkled prawns with salt, some gound black pepper, added chopped veg on top then drizzled aged virgin olive oil (which I bought christmas eve 5 years ago from sainsburys when I worked there. £5 bottles reduced to 20p each, I stocked up on them).
replaced under low-med heat for ten minutes, turned prawns over ontop of veg and grilled for another ten.

    Voilá!

Dinner cost aprox 22p and now I'm stuffed. Ahhhhhhhh
