Good afternoon everybody, just popping on the say how relieved logie to hear your news.
Same for you newbie, I hope the treatment goes well for your dad.
I have been thinking about you both today.Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.0 -
Evening gang and thanks to who spotted the d/wash items.....very handy.
We found a dog yesterday, during fireworks.
It was thick with mud and its paws were bleeding so we took it in and gave it a bath, rang the police who wouldnt even take my name and got in touch with the dog warden.
I went out and at 9pm my daughter got a threatening call from a very pricey vet, demanding she take the dog to them. She explained that we had already agreed to that in the morning but they were insistent and told her she was breaking the law.
It seems that they charge £150 for taking in a stray and boarding it overnight!!!!
Anyway the dog warden rang this morning and is leaving it to me as to when I take it to the kennels but checked the legals and it is not against the law to board the dog, as long as the dog warden has all the details.......theiving whatsits, not a bit interested in dog welfare.
Sorry I missed your post and saw Elsie quote it and just gone back to quote. Glad you took the dog in and gave it a bath poor thing. When I took Poppy to the vets for her op a couple came in with an Alsatian they had found and had looked after all night. They asked the vet to scan the dog for a chip and it had one vet checked on data base and found phone number rang number and good news it was lost and owners frantic . The couple who found it arranged to take it to its home. I am wondering if your dog's got a chip and could be reunited with its owners.0 -
Evening all
My mr t are a bit hot on ub rice coupons. Did not scan and cs made me have the right rice and no overage.
Nevermind free rice is free rice:j
Then morries for some pods. Very happy with each 2 boxes of hot choc costing me £4 and also got a few coffees. Chatted to girl next door who is sending her mum in tonight. Did warn her no hot choc left on shelf so hope they restock.
2 for £6 is not a bad price but 2 for £4 is even better.
Might pop into primark for some new curtains tomorrow. I have the plain satin lined ones on my front door and very good (actually hung the 2 curtains back to back as only needed one so extra cosy) thinking I might get the same for lounge.
Also need some cushion pads but will check what I can find online first.
Just going to cancel my sky as do not get my moneys worth from it. Shame as I like a few channels just not worth the cost.
Should I do this online or phone. Could be tempted to stay but would have to be very cheap. If not back to bt which has a far better catch up service.

My T extra is being refurbished, so no-one can find anything at the mo. They even have lollipop boys all dressed in yellow to direct you - except they don't know where anything is either.
The refurbished store is going to have a nail bar!!!
We've got that at Wat£ord, it's very good and much cheaper than the place I used to go. I had my nails done there this morning.0 -

New to this thread so be nice to me!
Got the finish goodies on 3 for £2 at t3sco newtonhill ( north east Scotland), they had plenty in which surpised me.
Went to @sda to try the 2p Ben n jerry that I saw on mse twitter but came up at£2.50. While I was there though I picked up a four pack ofown brand ladies shaver cartridges, shelf price £2.25 scanned at 56p. Needless to say there's none left in my local store:rotfl:
I did read the first page here but is there anything with info for newbies on where to start with bargain hunting? We spend a scary amount, particularly on food.
Also, what's the free rice offer?
Thanks
LJ

I've put up posters and will go door knocking again in a bit....must be the fireworks as we have named her jellyfish.
Do you have a lost pets fb group that covers your area? May be worth a post on there, and there are plenty of national pet data bases too. Also, have you taken it to be scanned for a microchip. A chip re-united my sis with her cat after 3 months when all hope was almost lost. He had been fending for himself and scrounging food in a neighboring housing estate till an elderly couple took him in a taxi at their own expense to get him scanned as the vet wouldn't send someone to collect him for them. Its great that there are still some good people about.0 -
