Yeah, sorry here too if I was a bit stressy, a lot going on in this house.

I just want to clarify some issues and I can't seem to get one answer......

the only areas being reassessed for PIP are .... wales, the midlands and east anglia.
everywhere else is continuing with DLA for now

Does anyone know what will happen to those who have made a new claim for Pip and have been already waiting 10 weeks to be assessed?

Ok, I understand now, thanks for clarifying. So we aren't done with DLA like we thought we were.... it's terrible how it all keeps changing

I'm wondering this too, I missed the DLA deadline and had to do a whole new form process. It got sent off late June and I rung and know it has been received/opened on 17th July. Just done a quick count and noticed it's over 14 weeks since that date and I have still heard nothing - obviously getting anxious and a bit miffed, will have to call next week but guessing what has been released in the news, the phone lines are going to be chocca.

This announcement does not affect them directly at all.
It only affects those who are now claiming DLA, and have some sort of change occur.
If you have submitted a PIP claim - you have submitted a PIP claim.
This is unrelated to any DLA claim you may have made in the past - other than it will automatically terminate DLA when a decision is made.
  • Mum currently gets DLA HRC and HRM, and does not live in these areas but...house is on the market with intention of moving to Wales/Glos area, so she is setting herself up for PIP assessment then?
