(I am one of the lucky ones as I live in East Anglia, so will still be reassessed for it in or around Oct 2014, unless they cancel it altogether! DLA runs out in Feb 2015, so it will not be long before I am destitute and on the streets with no house to live in.)

you shouldnt be so negative! theres no point in worrying until theres something to worry about!
im in the east midlands so im one of the lucky ones too!
i have4 an 'indefinate' award, so its anyones guess when i'll swap over.
im seriously considering asking for a re assessment to get it over and done with0 -
As you have an indefinite award - it will be after Oct 2015 - so I would leave well alone NT.0

I don't understand all this, how do they decide when you get changed to PIP (reassessed) I thought they did it when your DLA was due for renewalBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Not in all cases. For those with indefinite/lifetime awards it will be after Oct 2015 at the earliest. For anyone who does not have one of those, but has an award that has an end date such as myself, you will be reassessed in the normal way which is meant to be approx 20 weeks before renewal for PIP instead of DLA, unless you have a change in circumstances - like your health improves and you need to tell the DWP about it, then it will be sooner rather than later, but for now only in the named area as stated above. Do you live in anyo of those 3 areas?0

ok just found this on pip site
From 28 October 2013 we will start inviting individuals if:- we receive information about a change in care or mobility needs on or after 28 October
- their fixed term award is due to expire on or after 17 March 2014
- children turn 16 years old on or after 7 October 2013 (unless they have been awarded DLA under the Special Rules for terminally ill people) or
- an existing DLA claimant wishes to claim PIP instead of their DLA , Has my condition is not going to get any better and I have a indefinite award looks like I will be reassessed from oct 2015

Hi Moggy12
Can you post link for this update please. My award has been for three year blocks and is due for renewal on 13th March 2014 so am relieved at this change.
Thanks0 -

No, I am not in one of those areas so unless things change it will be 20 weeks before award runs out, thanks for that.
I have previously checked all those links but for some reason thought this post meant something different, must have been overtired when I read it.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0
