  • polly that sucks.

Is anyone else watching how clean is your house ? I can't believe boiling rubarb gets rid of the stains in pans ! We have one stainless steel pan which really could do with a clean like that, might have to give it a try.

Second lot of curtains in the washer.

Sanded back about 1/3 of the lounge windowframe
Filled the holes in the lounge skirting board
Filled the holes where the old sockets were in the lounge, though need some more filling.
Had cuddles and licks when I went puppy sitting
Got a reply to my enquire about some rats in Southampton which are in need of a new home, though looks like they might have already found somewhere.
    Desk tidied

Right lunch should be ready, then back to the decorating.

    Lunch break here!!!

I have ironed a mountain of shirs and hung out wet laundry... even though it looks like rain.. I had a duvet to wash and it won't fit in the dryer and dry properly. Can I heck as like figure out how to refold the new ironing board though.. it is as minky one so any suggestions gratefully received!

ETA.. as I posted this the heavens opened for a 10 second heavy shower and the sun back shining now... Off to hang out the duvet!

I am sorry about your car, Pollybear. Hope it gets sorted.

I am feeling a little awestruck at how much people get done!

Trying to get back on track - turning off the computer and turning on the iron! But I have joined Quidco, so that should help a little.

    Afternoon all

    Polly - arrrggghhhhhh
Hev - glad your feeling more optimistic.
    Big all round group hug.

Well I have popped home at lunch for some yummy soup and managed to clean my bathroom.

    Still to do:

Wipe light fittings, landing one is horrid
Hoover curtains to remove cat fur
Hoover and re-make bed. I washed everything off it yesterday including the pillow liners and the 2 mattress protectors as i felt it needed a good going over.
Hoover downstairs again - dust has settled from the men fitting the new door.

Not too bad. Hopefully a lovely relaxing evening tomorrow in a clean house!

    Axxx

So much for cleaning the house top to bottom!

I went to Aldi and got some shopping (including the icecream) so I came home to put it away and then headed back out to Asda to look for jeans. Couldn't get any but decided to do a weekly shop while there to save dragging DD/OH over the weekend. Then my sister phoned and asked if Dad could pick something up from ours on his way home so I offered to walk up to hers and drop it off...ended up going to my mums instead (sis had popped in there :rotfl: ) and then walking to sisters, and then just as I left there the heavens opened and I got soaked through to the skin - I'm currently sitting here in my 'jamas trying to dry my clothing off  Now the alarm has gone off to warn me it's more or less time to pick DD up from school.

    Where's today gone? ARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
