can we be assured that lainiee has not actually suffered any financial losses on this one , at all ? please

if she has , or does , then I for one am happy to help fill the pot to make sure that she comes out smiling and feels that there is help in all ways out there, both what those who have helped her have managed to do so far, and that she doesnt have to pay one penny from her own purse with this disgraceful harassment and discrimination that was caused by the big boys kicking a disabled pensioner , as described in one of pranksters blogs where he asked them to do the "right thing" !!!!!

so a big well done all round for the helpers , that I truly believe !!

She didn't have to pay for the court hearing to set aside the Judgment as she was covered for such fees to be paid, due to her medical conditions/benefits. Lainiee did however end up paying a PE charge about 18 months ago when PE asked for a Blue Badge when she told them about her disability (they knew ages ago you see!). Lainiee explained she doesn't have one, they told her 'tough, you have to pay then'. She did so.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Oh for the day one of these companies get hammered for a breach of the Equality act. Having the signs up in the car park stating that parking in a "disabled" bay can only be done with a blue badge on your car, is discrimination in itself.

Especially now as obtaining a blue badge is more difficult, the only mandatory BB is if you get high rate mobility DLA or Enhanced mobility PIP. The bar is set higher then it used to be for discretionary badges.

However we all know here its nothing to do with protecting the bays, it's simply an opportunity for these low life to extract monies from people.

Yes it is to line their pockets, that is why they have this blue badge garbage on private land. Just look at ukcps, they specifically target the disabled bays, this is their cash cow! And I think they actually say in some of their letters that the blue badge scheme doesn't apply on private land, yet use it does when it suits them!
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I am all for caning PPCs and punishing poor customer service but the other side of the coin is that, if people park inappropriately and ignore court papers, there will be consequences.

I hope that this particular poster will bear this in mind in future.

I have always stated, the time to decide if you want a dose of parking Eye is when you see their signs on the car park entrance.
The reputation of this firm and it's practices are now "common knowledge"
Thus any company that thinks having this bunch let loose on the very people you want to be your customers also gets what they deserve.
That is, shop elsewhere, or ignore this advice, take your chances, hope they do not pick you out for some treatment, especially if you have to nip back for something.
People should by now know who they are, know what they do and have an understanding of the thousands of people every week that become victims for the heinous crime of been a customer of the business you visited.
    Be happy...;)
  • Costs...

Lainiee agreed to waive costs in the case if she won at POPLA. As the Lay rep I asked for nothing at that stage either, though a Costs schedule was put forward.

In terms of the counterclaim, she is entitled to her genuine losses in their conduct, and I predict this will include the unnecessary stress and expense she was put to in defending against a claim that should never have been made.
