Fab! Lovely to hear and bravo on reuniting someone with their wallet. What a headache that is - I've had mine stolen twice and it's just a hideous mess.

Well, I had an interesting walk into town with hubster. On the way in, he tells me that he is going to find £1 today AND he is going to find the first coin. I am sure you can imagine that I was well up for the challenge, gauntlet thrown and all that. We're walking through town, scanning everywhere. We get to TKMaxx. I tell him I want to walk past the tills where everyone is queuing.....then I spot it.....I take off running down the till line, ignoring everyone in the queue, snatch the penny from the floor, spin round while holding it in the air and beaming at hubby with a big "HA!".......how I haven't been barred is beyond me......:rotfl:

And do I know what the people in the queue did or thought?? Er no. I didn't even glance in their direction!

Anyhoooooo, between this and the 12 Euro cents someone kindly left on the coinstar machine (which I can use for our next trip to the Netherlands) I can report 11p found today plus 72p in wombled receipts for the day.......so far. I am hoping to have some more after the trip out to the fireworks this evening.

Keep looking rebels! There's money out there waiting on a new home!

sorry to be thick - what's a wombled reciept??? is it like i do sometimes - unclaimed points in sains etc being claimed by me ???

Yes splodge. I do A$da which gives you coupons if they are not 10% cheaper than other supermarkets. I made nearly £40 last month. Do not try to redeem 10 of them in one go though! Gotta keep it low key! You can also do Costa, Boots and Tesco too. I am sure there are others also. Hubby and I call it 'trolley lolly'!!!!

No luck today. Even went especially to Asda and found a couple of receipts but no vouchers gleaned. On a positive note the shopping I did there came out cheapest too.
I am a great believer in if I keep trying sooner or later will be sucessful:)

Well, we are back from the fireworks......rather damp after the heavens unleashed an absolute torrent and so I am in pjs with a hot water bottle (because I darn well am not putting the heating on!). Found an extra 5p in A$da so that's 16p for the day in coins.

Love reading about all the finds and all the determination - I will be honestly gobsmacked if there is anyone here at the end of the month who hasn't found anything!

Today's find is 2p- it could have been 7p with a little luck.
I didn't find anything in town, but I remembered somebody mentioning 'Coinstar' machines- so I checked the one is Asda and there it was : 2p and 5p stucked in the top basket. I managed to get 2p free but the 5p got stucked even more . I will put a twizer into my handbag so next time I can get better grab on it- ha-ha-ha! I added this lonely 2p into my piggybank and update my signature. Night-night!
