  • 23p for me today. Had a walk through town to the library. I found the shiny 20p by a grate, and dd(6) found a 2p and then a 1p in quick succession as we walked home. Dd's are really getting into this now!

Woo hoo! I'd get going right away but I make look a little bit odd walking the streets in my dressing gown with a torch :p Maybe tomorrow will be my day of glory!

Lol! Hubby and I go out walking at night quite regularly - it's often a good time for coins! :)

Hello! May I join? This sounds like fun and something I may actually be capable of doing successfully.

Found 5p yesterday at Thorpe Park. Best place would have been under the rides, but hadn't read this then!

I will start scouring in earnest.
Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

I'm loving reading about all the latest discoveries :T

I managed to find the grand total of 7p during my lunchtime walk. The first 5p was actually sat on my road so almost an instant find.

I also rescued a couple of really battered penny coins.

I didn't spot any roadkill in the carpark of my local supermarket. I only noticed earlier that the Coinstar machine has been removed :(

I'll try to keep half an eye on the ground when I'm out running tomorrow morning. If you read about a runner in the Birmingham area running into a lamppost and injuring themself, that will be me!

Is it wrong that I literally laughed out loud at your note to self.......then read it to hubby and laughed again!!! :rotfl:

I am in North Yorkshire but I am originally from Darlington and usually find money when I am back home too. Supermarket checkouts are great, as are the aisles. Car parks in town centres are good too.

Hubby and I did take a walk out tonight and came home 2 pennies richer 2 receipts which just netted us a total of £2.35....pretty darn happy about that!

I have been following this thread, but thought I should post this warning http://dlvr.it/4FX2nq

I Went through a self service till this morning and the gentleman before me was talking to the lady helping on these tills and was about to walk away with only his coins until I said to him don't forget your change and handed him the five pound note in the dispenser. I hope that someone would do the same for me. :)

Jas1966,that is so good of you.Someone less honest of course, would have snaffled it.Good karma to you :money:

Well, disappointed with my results today.I havent done a proper grocery shop for WEEKS,so the plan was to use the morning menu-planning,then go to Tesco close to closing this afternoon.
(The theory was that close to closing on a Sunday, lots of people wld be rushing around, finalising purchases).

Well, had my head down for nearly 2 hours in the supermarket, scoured ALL the trolley bays in the carpark,(twice)and all I found was a trolley token.Personally,I was quite pleased to have found something(I have found 4 of these over the last couple of months),but unless you can sell it to someone,it won't pay for your groceries, will it?:rotfl:

It is great to see so many people joining your challenge, isn't it Hok3y?
    Good luck,everyone :money:
