Looks like lots of people got off to a flying start. Well done everyone :T
Sadly nothing for me today, although I only nipped out briefly today. Tomorrow me and the OH are going for a nice long walk down to the harbour so hopefully will have some good pickings to report!

I have my fingers crossed for you! Sending you some coin attracting vibes! :D

Can I join please, I've not been out today but shall be looking from tomorrow!

Absolutely! Your number is in post 8 - on the floor around checkouts is a really good place to look, especially the self service areas.
Nothing for today but popping to the fireworks display tomorrow - dark night plus people putting in some money in the buckets - means I'm bound to find something on the way home.

Us too Rebecca! So looking forward to it! We plan on heading back out to the field early tomorrow morning for a coin search too. Lots of people dropping money in the dark!

No little roadkills for me today... However optimistic for tomorrow as I have to walk around a few shops to kill some time. Hopefully I will find some roadkill :j

Hi pap! You will find something - just keep those eyes on the floor and expect to find something! X

:D As I am a lazy bloodclot and have only just dragged myself from my bed, I have visions of you setting out at dawn on a coin finding crusade! Good luck!

Well, hubby and I took a walk out last night. You can definitely find coins in the dark and people are quite lax with their money at night so it's worth a walk through your town. We found a 5p and 3 pennies in separate finds. I had planned on walking through a pub or two but wasn't really dressed to walk the ones I wanted.

We did womble a boatload of receipts but in total they only netted us £1.00 (well, technically £1.03 but I refused to print the voucher for 3p as I figured the paper and ink wiped out the value). So today we are off to a home building show AND the fireworks. I'll be coming home with money.....mark my words!! :D:D:D

Best of luck to you today Rebels! :T

That's a good plan! Will definitely try that too..it's only at the end of my road!

Nothing today so far - popped down the shops, made sure to walk the pub route home to see if anything was dropped last night - either everyone is very careful with their money (or spent it all!) on a Friday night or there is someone beating me to it...

I have been following this thread, but thought I should post this warning http://dlvr.it/4FX2nq
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post
  • Well, I reported a no-find yesterday, but found 20p on the way home after dancing (after midnight, so counting as today ;) )

Found someone's wallet and change on the dance-floor, and managed to return it to the right person :-) Good deed for the night - nothing worse than losing your purse/wallet and someone walking off with it.

A penny found under the giant climbing frame in the park. Am thinking it's an adult's rather than some kid's pocket money!

Very interesting and I didn't know that at all - I'm not worried about picking up coins I find there one bit but worth knowing next time paper is left behind. Rebels, it's worth reading this link with thanks to Heffi for posting. Draw your lines where you will.

Thanks for your message HOK3Y. Just after 8am I went out. 13p found near a bin/newsagents/bus shelter. No coins had rolled underneath the base of the bin.
